I kind of gave up when people seemed to be ignoring my posts, and it seems to be pretty quiet a lot too.

Well I havent been on cos moved to a new house no internet and me Buggy's engine is somewhere hopefully between US and Ireland it was posted from OFNA on 27th of July :( I miss it I only just finished running it in, cant wait to get it back.

Yes that was the Jammin Force .28 I posted about a few weeks back that apparently / possibly Hydro Locked (whatever that was 3 weeks ago?) have since learned how it happens!

Anyway OFNA repaired under warrenty or somet like that Tower Hobbies got onto them to fix it.

So should get it back any day! :)

Has anyone been to the track in Galway? Is it a bit of craic or serious racing?

I'm only interested in die-cast and scale models tbh and hardly anyone else is but I look in here every now and again to see if anyone else has a similar interest. I haven't much interest in remote controlled stuff...sorry.:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,248 ✭✭✭Plug

There's a critical mass theory for forums that says you need a minimum amount of activity to get the ball rolling, then everyone else's replies keep the momentum going, till you have enough momentum for constant activity...

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 3,455 Mod ✭✭✭✭coolwings

    The snowball principle .....

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,763 ✭✭✭g5hn710m4xpdwy

    right...
There has been a few posts on die cast models here, and Im slowing going that way aswell :) built my first model a few days ago, (easy kit)

is it just me or do you need a continuous flow of money into the cars/trucks its unreal, the problem for me is accesibility to parts, thats y i hardly run the damn things, but wen they go its like falllin in love again....im sure you all understand me!!

Yes 'no leaf' its the snowball effect as stated above you need a minimum amount of activity i.e. running your buggy and the money starts flying out the window!

im into diecast aswel but have rarely seen any talk about them. iv been building the bburago kits for years. got my first plastic kit early this year but havnt had time to finish it yet. its a tamiya audi quattro rally car. the tamiya kits are very detailed compared to the diecast kits im used to. i did know of a realy good site where people made them and updated there progress as they modded the kits into better models then they would be as standard. intresting stuff.
