    Hi,

Bought men's health this month and they had an interesting muscle building workout in it based on german volume training.
bascially it 10 sets of 10 reps.

They're workout has 8 exercise spilt into 2 sessions (ie 4 per session).

They claim it's great for getting in shape. build muscle / lose fat...

But 10 sets of 10 seems a liitle excessive.
has anybody any experience with this?

    Hey King of Kings,
Yeah, I've tried something like this (we we're actually doing 8 sets of 12 one week and 12 sets of 8 the next), it was very hard work but bugger me i was in great nick afterwards.
Due to the intensity of it though i wouldn't recommend it for any longer than 6weeks. Well i don't know how tough you are but i wouldn't try it myself for any longer than that as i could feel myself burning out.
But like most fitness/strength/conditioning knowledge, i guess trial and error is the only way to find out if it'll work for you.

    Hope this helps mate.

There is NO ONE way in any form of training just lots of ways to get there.

Every program must be changed when progress dries up so as mentioned give a go for a 4-6 week period then change again.

Increased muscle mass and strength must be your guide
