Have a spare tyre to get rid of, ie a flabby stomach. Have started doing sit ups and jogging in the morning, and then some walking in the evening. I eat very little fatty or sugary foods. If i keep my exercise regime up, how many kilos could I lose in a month?

I feel much of my stomach is due to bad posture, so aim to improve this too.

i have the same problem :(
However woohoo my tummy is flatter, but i still have it on two sides of my hips, i've lost about 3 inches of my hip area.
Anyway keep up the good work. what i'm doign is eating sensibly as i know how 70% of the time. sit ups are fantastic, i do maybe 150-200 vary them maybe 2-3 times per week. however i stopped doing them for a few weeks and my tummy got a little wobbly.. so keep it up.

i've started doing a small amount of joggin so hopefully that will healp more.

keep up the good work, you sound like your doing loads.

For someone with a bad back, what would you recommend - it hurts to do sit-ups...Also, are pilates helpful?

I would suggest that you go to whoever you need to go to the get your back sorted and make that a priority first tbh.

It's not for me you see... I have heard that pilates are a good way to lose the "spare tire" as it was so well put above. Low impact but still work the right places...Just wondering if anyone has had the experience to yay/nay that...

Pilates is not the most effective way to decrease your body fat. it is best combined with cardiovascular exercise and a good diet you can decrease your body fat and help to get rid of your 'spare tyre'.

Pilates will help strengthen your lower back and your abdominals and will help overall abdominal 'toning'.
