    Hey gang,

I'm hopefully, fingers crossed and with the aid of the lords of Kobol and the Power of Grayskull, going to be opening my own persoanl training facility in September - there will be more on that later, but for now I want clothing.

I've found it nigh impossible to find attractive workout clothing that is both professional and shows off the physique. I mean when I workout I do it in the normal O'Neills or shorts and a t-shirt, I dont care what I look, just what I'm lifting and how. Obviously for the studio I need something more professional.

I liked the look of transforms stuff on TV3 butt he blue just wouldn't work with me and I don't have his tan.

    Anyone any suggestions?

ordinary tracksuit bottoms you should be ablee to get any where, if you are looking for tight tshirts and stuff you may want to try in some dance shops as mens dance tshirts would generally give you the look you are going for. Now that said i can't sy how macho you are going to look in them

You might also want to post something like this under Rec-fashion appearance forum? You should run into a lot of clothing types there?

    Hey Boru,
Firstly conrats on the new facilities mate, I hope it all goes very well for you.
With regards the clothing, have you had a look at those rash guards they wear in rugby under their shirt? Very body hugging type of thing and keep you cool as well. (breathable Gore-tex or similar) A lot of the bjj heads wear em too. There is also a short sleeve version available. They are downstairs in elverys for 35 quid.

    Hope this helps mate

If I am not mistaken, what Transform was wearing in the videos was under armour. Here is the mens section Click me. Comes in black/whites/greys etc, so doesn't really matter if you don't have the tan, once you have the physique!

Got my under armour clothes when i was in miami and have only seen it available in a very limited amount in elverys.

Though after 2 weeks in the sun i dont need much clothes to make me look this good :)

Dunno exactly what you're looking for, general workout clothing or a uniform style thing.

I use House of Pain Ironwear generally but you wouldn't want it training a housewife. Inner Armour etc normally have mail order options, pick up any Flex or MD and look through ads for clothing co.'s - i can give you an old issue if you want?

As for uniforms (if you have underlings working for you) there's a place in Dun Laoghaire near the Seat garage there (walk up by Bits n Pizzas and turn right) that make "uniforms", but they could easily tailor outfits for a professional look with your logo etc on them.

If I went into personal training I would only take on weightlifters who wanted to work hard - I don't know how you guys put up with the majority of pt clientelle I see breezing around the gym putting in no effort - but at least they have the money!

TBH does it really matter? - Personally i like trekkie bottoms and a vest but i wouldnt mind what you wore just as long as you knew what your doing . Just as long as you were clean it wouldn't bother me what you were wearing and judging by most of the guys(women might be different) in westwood, it wouldn't bother them, they train in anything from trekkies to football shorts/tops even army clothing stuff, i honestly don't think they care. If your in shape most people look it regardless of what they wear.
