It really depends on the day thats in it. I will always try get my protein from whole foods and rely on supp's if I can't get the foods in.
I will however have one in the morning and directly after training with dextrose and before bed at night.

I once found a recipe to make one at home. Don't remember it exactly though. I take this after my runs:

1-2 tablespoons of dried skimmed milk
    1 teaspoon honey
    1 banana
Skimmed milk for 1/2 L of smoothie

Then use the blender. Not whey or anything like it, but it's cheaper, you get plenty of protein, healthy carbs and it tastes nice!

who the **** is charging you 50 euro for 26 servings?

Easygainer does 10lbs of ON for 75euro, Jon sells it in his shop in phibsboro for 90euro(He might do 12lbs of Nutrion X for that price, not 100%sure) fitnessireland.com do 12lbs of Nutrion X for 89.95euro.

Check out the Maximuscle thread. 5lbs of ON has 77servings and cost 40euro me from Easygainer.
