Just bought a box of Big Al's beef burgers which claim to have 100% Beef

I was sure to check the indgredients, cos the marketers are very misleading. They put 100% Irish beef on the boxes, but actually mean that all the beef in the burgers is Irish, not that the burgers are pure beef

So the ingredients for the ones i got is 100% Beef

    whatcha think?

Mmm, would you consider the cows' hoofs as part of the cow? :D

The problem is they don't specify which parts of the cow the make the burgers with. So they could put a lot of nasty stuff in them! I never buy them, I make them myself... Hold on, I buy my meat already minced!!;)

Big Al's are 100% pure ****. Watch them shrink from huge burgers to miniscule pieces of meat as you cook them.

Get some lean mince and a plastic home burger maker. Both cheaper and alot healthier.

Anyone know if/where you can buy egg-whites in cartons..? It's very popular in the U.S. but I haven't seen it here.

I think they probably mean....of the 5% meat used in making the burger...100% of it is beef....the remaining 95% of the burger...who knows lol

Thats €13 a Kg for egg whites which are about 50% protein compared to about the same price for their whey isolate which is 80% protein. Is this an over simplistic view? what is the quality of their whey isolate like?

Yes, and? What's the problem? It's pretty obvious to me that they're just saying they use Irish meat, and beef can constitute any part of the cow. I have never eaten "a beef", have you?

    beef
    n. pl. beeves (bvz) or beef

A full-grown steer, bull, ox, or cow, especially one intended for use as meat.
The flesh of a slaughtered full-grown steer, bull, ox, or cow.

Yes, that is an over simplistic view, well unless you have a way for me to cook with whey protein!! If you get the myprotein egg whites you can make omlettes, add to mince and you've got a binding agent for a burger, mix in with nuts, peanut butter and whey protein and you've got a protein bar.

Loads of reasons why egg whites rule. Remember they are real egg whites. Personally I find it cheaper to extract the whites from eggs myself but hey each to their own.

What the **** has your post got to do with fitness? And also is that description of beef meant to resemble what you look like?

You never even post here anyway so your post is simply a troll. You should probably stay in your tatoo forum. Loads of fun over there...

A lot when you consider that nutrition plays a large part in Fitness.
