How much ram have You?

Just interested to know how how much ram people have got in their desktop pc's. For those who got more than 1 pc, only your highest spec'd current pc (not future build). Leave a post as to what game or program made you upgrade more ram to your system and what kind of difference it made to You.

I have 2Gb (2x 1Gb) in my current rig. Upgraded from 512kb to enable me to play FEAR without a slideshow. Noticed a huge difference in games but not that much of a difference in Windows.

Edit: posted in wrong forum, Mods move this to Comp/ Tech, get better response there.

1 gig, but I am moving to 2. Anything above is too expensive now.

2gb, upgraded from 1gb a few months ago. Not a huge difference to be honest but I was upgrading my graphics card aswell and thought why not. Makes a difference in game loading times, and a big difference when exiting. No real difference in windows, altough I have been meaning to try some video editing so it should come in handy then.

You use 1t timings with your ram, I taught 2t timings would be better for performance for 2gb and over.

I've got one gig now but i'm between 2 minds whether to go for 1gig of super low latency RAM or 2gigs of RAM. What would be the best way to go. I'm also interested to know whether it is better to run 2gigs at 1T or 2T command rate.

    2GB Corsair DDR2 800MHz.

Currently playing Oblivion at 1680x1050 with large textures. Only using over 1GB of memory. I thought it'd use more. I suppose i only got the 2GB for future proofing.

Sh1t, only spotted that now. Can't get in to change it. Can a mod change it and move it to Comp/ Tech for a better response.

Used to have 2gigs in my gaming system but now that i built another computer i had to take ram out. I would like to get another gig for my gaming machine as when u play games like Quake4 & rise n fall civilations at war it uses a lot of ram to play when details are at full. But i mostly play CS:S and 1gig of ram does that game fine.

With the new intel chips and the differint type of ram been used i dont think i will be getting and DDR Ram would be a bit of a waste.

2Gig 4x512, 1Gig dimms with low timings/high clock ceiling weren't available when building it, so 2T are out.

As a point of interest, I'm after speccing a box for work with 2x Xeon 5160, 8x2Gig DDR2 667 FBDimms, with another 4 slots left.

It's a pity 32Gig (8x4Gig) is ~32,000 euro, because we could buy another 3 of the above machines (+ 5yrs support) for that money.

The conmputer that I use most frequently has 64kb of memory, but my main desktop has 2 gig, and my laptop has 512mb. Upgrading to a macbook with a gig of memory soon though.
