anyone else sick of this dead heat, theres no wind , no fresh air, sun appears from 9 - 5 ; Mon - Fri and YET the temperature remains the same throughout the night . I'm tired of not sleeping and trying to work in this energy sapping stale weather. As you can tell i'm tired and contrary. When will it end ?

Ah us irish, we complain about the wet weather then complain when we get a good run of weather but find it too humid!! :D

Agreed on the not sleeping/having no energy thing.

I'm finding it really hard to stay awake in work, I can't actually tell if I have fallen asleep or not (if you know what I mean).

I blame Zionists, and the weather.

heat? In Ireland? where? You must be dreaming!

It's bloody freezing, I'm cold, cranky, and could do with at least 10 more degrees celsius! I'm sick of clouds, rain, wind and all that sh*te!
Was close to switching the heating on this morning, and am sitting here wearing jeans, and a big woollen jumper!
I want sunshine! I want summer!

Come on global warming, hurry up!

    heat - yeah right...

The dead heat shall hopefully be no more

DALE: I say let the world warm up, let's see what Boutros Boutros Ghali Ghali has to say about that. We'll grow oranges in Alaska!

HANK: Dale, you giblet-head, we live in Texas! It's already 110 in the summer, and if it gets one degree hotter, I'm going to kick your ass!

Get a grip. For God's sake man. It's really not that hot, if anything it's great weather and I won't hear a bad word about it. FFS can we not have a few weeks of no rain before the moaning begins?

well you must be getting different weather in Galway , cause there is dead stale conditions over Dublin -- i like nice fresh dry weather , even hotter during the day .. but at night time it should cool down a bit to get some kip .. and thats my gripe ...

Morons, with our advanced weather changing technology we make it rain 350 days a year - just because we can.

It's the same in Paris. 34°C in the day (36°C in my office at the moment) and dropping down to 29°C at midnight.

know exactly what you mean OP, finding it stifling and only geting 4-5 hours sleep at night, it's not really a weather problem , and it's not an attitude problem so the "ah shut up " brigade can leave it out too, it's simply a problem with how we approach it, we're not used to this heat in the first place so it will feel too hot for some, but the main thing is if you look at countries like spain, who have this kind of weather, they approach it correctly, work early, siesta the hottest part of the day 12-3 ish(mind you they are probably up since 3 am nickin our fish) and then back to work, in house and buildings built with air conditioning in most cases.

what do we do? we get up at 6, work our way through the day non stop and spend roughly 3-3.5 hours in the boiling car/bus/train commmuting to and from our houses/offices that are built with one thing in mind insulation.
still it's no fun having to put on sun cream just to go outside (which you should be doing on the days that the temp is near 30), if we could alter our circumstances the weather wouldn't be a huge problem.

I don't mind it. It's cold most of the year so we might aswell appriciate it. I don't like waking up and not being able to breathe cause my room is very stuffy.

don't usually do sarcasm and am not a tree hugger -- but i think we should look after our planet where possible -- global warming is caused by all our short term greed -- told you not in good mood today

Excellent post, I agree with all your points. I bet the people saying they love the weather are out sunbathing in their backgardens whilst we are stuck in work

Yeah its all fine and dandy for the rest of you bums sitting out in the sun, but here in work the aircon is broken and blowing in hot air.

The bus is packed full of smelly people at 5 o' clock and its like a sauna with those useless windows. I'd trade this weather for an awesome snow storm in a second.

Edit: I agree with above poster.

Last week I went to Argos in Dundrum and Nutgrove, and Woodies and Atlantic in the Industrial estate, but they were all sold out. You'd think they would have gotten extra stock in for summer, its a bit like running out of Christmas trees in December.

Anyway, I eventually got one in Woodies in Carrickmines, they had just gotten new stock in that day.
