I saw a key with a Simpson's design on it hanging off a tree by the Pav...there a story behind it? Just thought it looked weird

That unlocks the hidden brothel and opium den usually reserved for scholars and fellows. Must have been lost in a fit of gratuitous carnality.

Heh, I thought it said "kev hanging from a tree" and I wondered who he'd offended now. :D

woah. I read that as "Kev"
    ....
Its late I should go to bed.

Yeah I initially thought it said "Kev" as well! They say that this sort of mistake reveals something about your subconscious, but damned if I know what that something is...

On-topic: Maybe it's part of an elaborate (and no doubt excessively romantic) method of asking someone for their hand in marriage.

I was going to post that anything involving a Simpsons keyring doesn't sound all that romantic. Then it occured to me that I would instantly marry anyone who proposed to me with a Simpsons keyring outside a pub, regardless of age, gender or attractiveness, on the grounds that I had met my soulmate. So I guess that's actually a pretty plausible theory. Go Seb!

Am I the only one who thought "Kev" while reading that?

    ...in what sense?

(I'm trying to gauge whether me, Kev or both of us is being insulted)

I feel much more abstract now.

The y in 'key' looks like a v because it is underlined (link):

    key VS key

You're on your way to becoming an arts student.

You're on your way to becoming an arts student.
    *shudders*

    It's cringeworthy 'cos it's true.

Just like to say I'm very upset by this thread.

There is nothing wrong with being an Arts student. Apart from the.... Okay okay. We're all screwed. Especially me: "Why yes, we here at ExxonMobil would be delighted to make you our new C.E.O. The clincher was your high II.II in Single Honors History"

Scarily, why do I think that could actually happen? Momma, oil companies frighten me...

I'm not insulting either of you btw. It's just you said you'd instantly marry someone who proposed to you yadda yadda yadda, and I imagined Kev doing it for the craic.

Oh, right so. I'm so used to picking apart everything you say to search for insults I tend not to notice when you're, you know, just talking.

why do hate this kev guy that you want him dead?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,923 ✭✭✭Nothingcompares

    I think it's because he's a homosexual black man.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,579 ✭✭✭Pet

I think it's cos he's a psychopath, but I really like to poke his navel, it's great fun, he giggles like a girl.

    Is it big though?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

No, being a white man's willy it's tiny.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,198 ✭✭✭✭Crash

    I question that last statement...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

    A stereotypical white man's willy. Like Kev's.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,923 ✭✭✭Nothingcompares

I was going to post a "plumbing"-related pun, but it was too cringeworthy, even for me.
