pain back of knee-walking upstairs

    i've suddenly noticed a mild darting pain at the the back of my right knee when i'm getting near the top of the stairs also i'm also unable to run any length i've a
    mild pain on the outside of my knee when it stretches during running .i do a lot of running but have recently been trampolining a lot .is it runners knee can anyone advise? thanks

    I really could not say with any certainty. Probably need a physio to investigate it.
    However... it does sound like an injury I got while marathon training a few years ago. Its called ITBS. http://www.itbs.info/ iliotibial band syndrome. Could be way off tha mark on that one though :rolleyes:
