Tired and sore in the mornings

    Hey all,
for the last few weeks I have been feeling run down or something.
When I wake in the morning I am shattered and its a struggle to get out of bed.
I feel stiff and sore, as if I ran 10k or something the day before.
The only exercise I am getting at the moment is golf and cycling 12m a day (due to a groin strain) I usually play soccer 2 nights a week.

I dont have much trouble sleeping but Im usually way too hot (and very much so the last few nights)

Any ideas what could have me feeling so bad?
Could it be dehydration? I tend to sweat a lot, would this leave you feeling wrecked?

    Thanks!

It could be. I cycle daily and sweat a lot too. I've been drinking tons more water than normal these days. It's so warm that my thirst is almost unquechable.
At least with dehydration, it's not had to correct it. A sports drink or two might help too, to replace lost minerals due to sweating.

It might be something to do with the temperature change or over sleeping. If I over sleep I feel very weak. You should get some blood tests done to see if you're lacking anything.

Where do you go for blood tests?
Do I need a doc or a hospital or both?

yeah, but I have been feeling this way since before the recent hot spell.
Even if I take it easy and take the moped to work I still feel sh!tty the next day.
Ive started taking some multivitamins and also trying to drink more, Im deffo heading to the jacks more than normal (which was only about twice a day)

have you changed your bed and opened a window. A lot of people who can't sleep in weather like this still try and sleep under a duvet, if you are try and use just a sheet also open a window in your room so that some fresh air can get in

not really, though havent been eating fantastically lately, coming home and not being bothered cooking so end up having some cereal or somthing...

Not depressed or stressed (afaik!), though I am very disillusioned with my current job and have been for some time (6months+).
Can that make you sore and tired?!

No medication (well, on aulin for the last 2 weeks for groin strain, but feeling crappy preceded this)

Yeah, always have the windows open, only use a sheet in this weather, usually a tog 4 duvet as Im always too hot.
I dont think its weather related as I ve been feeling this way since before the hot spell.
    thx.

that could well be it. Especially if you arent enjoying your job. book 2 weeks off work and just relax for the two weeks.

If you are based up in Dublin give me a shout I'll bring you in to my clinic. It's in Terenure. From a TCM Perspective it sounds like you have a condition known as Qi Deficency and possibly Empty Heat - those names won't mean much to you, but its basically this - your run down and your body is producing a chemical imbalance due to a deficency. Keep in mind this is not a official diagnosis as I cannot make a dfinitive decision without a full history and seeing you myself. It's real easy to treat though.

I'm a certifed Clincial Medic and a Licenced TCM practioner and Acupuncturist. Pm me for details, I have a few more questions I'd like to ask aswell.
