I was looking through some sites and came accross this gem. Has me in tears now. I love the 1000CC version. Fell inlove with it on the Revup for DSI when one was leading us around Ireland. Such a fantastic bike. Anyone got some others they are crying over not been able to buy? I'll give a manly biker hug if it will help

My plan in the next 2 years (once the restriction runs out) is to get a Vara 1000 for a touring/Long distance and the Duc for work and fun. HEHE that is unless Ducati want to bring out a Paradacker type/Adventurer

well if you want something similar the 990 KTM adventure is getting rave reviews, as is the Buell Ulyses

I had a Varadero 1000 a coupla years ago. Complete ****eheap. Ok fuel consumption. Desperate performance from a V-Twin. Easily the vaguest, least feedbacky front wheel I've ever experienced. And don't get me started on the buffeting. And, as Performance Bikes once remarked, it's as attractive as an unshaven Margaret Thatcher. :D
