    Ceased trading today
At the prices they charged, I'm not surprised.
Makes you wonder how they couldn't survive and the likes of
Strings and Lapelloes are going strong

I presume this is the one on Parnell St with all the "Careful Now" & "Down With this sort of Thing!" crowd outside?

How can that be? They weren't even opened a year by my reckoning?

How surprising, was it on parnell street???? So much cash floating around there only its wrapped in bales and exchanged for class A narcotics.

    Not even six months IIRC

(a load of the strippers were staying in the hotel near work around the time of the opening :D )

    Yep that's the one.
They issued a statement saying because of all the delays in getting the club up and running, they missed all the Christmas trade.

Think it might be because of the high prices they charged.

I used to live around he corner from there... funny thing was it used to be a strip club there, but those eedjits never protested, because obviously if the corrupter of innocents arent famous, it's not worth combatting...

And if you don't get work here I'm sure the pimps of Dublin will have plenty of work for ALL the girls involved.

    Sad, but true.

What have the idiot protestors trying to get it shut down think of that one, now?

I saw one or two magazine pieces about it...and the girls who work there are really quite skanky looking. Hardly the stuff of men's fantasies. Unless your name is Anto.

Saw pictures of the place and women in "indublin" magazine a while back..women look rotten and by the sound of it, stringfellow was coming over to cash in on our already ridiculosly expensive city..he just over did it

Meh, not really botherd to see it go..

For those who were in it, was it ever packed with people or was it scarce enough?

i didn't realise the protestors had kept up there protest, how many legit lapclubs are there in dublin?

its about a licencing thought its very little to do with protestors this place had trouble before stringfellows came along...

Mr S said that corporate customers had been put off... what does he mean by that? does he mean companies having the official or unofficial work nights out there?

what sort of corporates would go to stringfellows?

In all fairness, coming out of Cineworld (UGC) at night, that place had no lines, and no buzz about the place. ****hole tbh.

I don't know how you can call it a sh*thole with out ever having been inside it.

It was certainly very descretely designed outside, and unless you knew what Stringfellows was you'd have no idea it was a lapdancing club.

It was actually very nice inside. Definitely the nicest lap dancing club I've ever been to.

But on the one time I did visit the place it was fairly empty, although that was a monday evening.

Out of the 15 or so girls that used to come into the cafe regularly, I saw maybe 3 that would be in danger. They seemed to be looking more for the 'unusual' look rather than classically hot.

    'tis the truth!.

Beats me that the do-gooders protesting outside the club totally ignored the African crack dealers on Moore St!.

    Go figure!.

Yeah it wasn't in a great location and it sounded way too expensive.
    Oh well no loss.
