As in the title i will be on tv3 tomorrow morning at 9.30am

It will be a light discussion on body types and a battle of the Bods (women only).

However, i will be doing the serious side along with one of my clients doing the more gossip side of the conversation.

I will make lots of serious points and a few shockers (wouldn't be me otherwise) so set your recorders or tune in!!!

p.s. i will make points on what has been discussed over the past few weeks on this forum

Oh and Boru i have been to Tony Robbins more times than i care to mention and yes the firewalk is excellent!

    Hey Transform,

pity I'll miss the appearance, just left Ireland yesterday. The very best of luck!

Best of luck and don't be too jealous of those women. :D

    ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Wow, I thought I was the only person in Ireland who ever heard of Tony Robbins.

Does he do the firewalks/seminars in Ireland?

    Hey Transform,

Congarts on TV3. Its fun. I've had good feedback from it. Will you be in the studio or the garden? Looking forward to it, shake things up, kick some a$$ and make the couch potatoes stand up and exercise!

Sure youtube it if you can.

It went well - very light and nothing to serious

Will be on other shows and media things in the future so will keep all posted.

p.s. everyone was talking so much i couldn't get in the "log on to boards as its the best for informed advice on training and diet" - will work on that for next time

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166,026 ✭✭✭✭LegacyUser

Yeah can someone please youtube this? I'd love to see it...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,285 ✭✭✭Smellyirishman

Woo gratz, look forward to watching it once I get home *crosses fingers that he has set everything up correctly*. I am hopefully that I can upload it, not sure how long it could take though (hopefully sometime during the weekend).

I htough you came off real well. Its a shame though you weren't able to plug a "solution" tot he problem presented or was able to introduce one of your successful clients who had achieved a physique that the average woman can strive for.

All in all it was good fun.

Physically you are a credit to the fitness industry, nice tan too (was it fake?;)). So many of the fitness instructors I see are out of shape and clearly don't live what they preach.

By the way, the blonde was cute.

    Part one
    Part two

Have about 5 copies of that, in all different shapes and formats and nonesense. YouTube was being a bit of a bitch and wouldn't accept anything, finally seems to be together now (any issues please say so).

Looks like it all went well and was fairly smooth sailing, a shame you didn't get a bit more time to really get to the crux of the issue and do some serious reality checks, but in time hopefully. At least you got the point across that nobody should be making an effort to look like Victoria Beckham!

You have definitly gotten bigger since I last so you, props to you.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166,026 ✭✭✭✭LegacyUser

They should have let you speak more instead of talking about silly celebrities...What were they playing @ getting someone like yourself on to not do what you do best?!

Fair play though. You look good and healthy. Hopefully next time, you can get a message out there...

dominic how come you didn't take your top off and do a most muscular???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,407 ✭✭✭✭justsomebloke

sorry dominic but i am just going to go slightly off topic and say that you neeed a longer pair of tracksuit bottoms for doing sit down interviews;)

anyway watched it last night and congrats on getting through what could of been a mine field of what a healty female body should look like. Cause with the current media distortion of what actualy constitues a healty body due to the backlash of anerixic stars, they could of tried to say that you may have had unrealistic expectations of what healty women are. This nearly happened with the who has a better body charolette church or nadine coyle.

"She clearly has food issues"......ha ha ha , best line of the show dude.

Point One : Well done, you have clearly added some nice mass since you ran that marathon man, and i notice that you were able to do so without adding all the pounds of adipose that people feel they need to add when on a bulk! Nice to see i am not the only one who feels this is a good thing!

Point Two : Well done for putting out there that maybe the image of "modern woman" that is pushed by Hollywood and the gossip mags is maybe not the image that people should be chasing. It is possible to be healthy, strong, slim and toned with the perfect ammount of muscle and be very happy with that. ( would G'em please step on up?? :D )

Point Three : Nice one on the Charlotte church issue dude, if your happy, then shut up. Like you though i feel that she is eating too many sweets!!

Point Four : Keira Knightly....i have had the pleasure of meeting her and damn she really is sexy. She is actually not as thin ( or at least was not at the time ) however i don't think we can point to her lack of chest and say "she is too thin", some girls simply have small breasts.....this is supposed to be a bad thing now? So well done for getting that point over.

Point Five : Despite being given a poor subject matter to work with, you did a great job. Repeatedly pointing out examples of a good physique and using the workds "making it new", "putting in the effort", "making it fun".

    Nice one.

laughed when the person wearing what looked like a frilly nightie and high heels to a breakfast show (i assume that wasn't transform :D) comes out with "i can't imagine why anyone would be attracted to a girl who walks around in hot pants and oversized goggle glasses and skyscraper heels to a football match"

just a thought, would this thread not me more relevant/appropriate to the Fashion / Appearance Board, wasn't much (any?) talk about fitness...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,201 ✭✭✭✭Pherekydes

You came across well, Transform. Fair dues. Unfortunately, the slot itself came across as trite. Comparing celebs? I mean, what a load of bull. Why not show us Marion Jones or some other professional athlete? The blonde talked too much, showing us it's all about appearances and not substance.

Well done anyway, you look the part too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 390 ✭✭kwalsh000

Grats man. In the time given you got across the points that you could, too bad they were more focused on getting opinions on celebrities than asking somone who knows his stuff. Either way, fair play:)

    :p;)

Transform, nice one, although as was said it's a pity they didn't show more women like Carly Zucker and female athletes in the line up (who in fairness have the kind of figures that more women should be striving for: healthy, lean, but still curvy etc). It was a real shame it was so centred on fashion and not fitness, but meh, I guess that's what the public want to hear. You were a credit to yourself, well done.

Oh and excuse me for saying it, but your arms are... well they're very distracting :o

Good one Transform in a difficult situation!

Dreadful subject matter - celebrity rubbish and that blonde lady beside you. She just did me in !

I'd like to see you on a more serious platform.

Thanks guys and here is the real shocker!

    1. The lady to my left is MY client! Yes Lisa has over the past 3 years gone from a size 16-18 to 10-12 (that about 2-3stone).

During the past 3 years i have been training her (3 times per week) she has had a baby and gone from 33% to 17% (not at 17 just yet as still has baby fat to drop).

    2. She trains 3 days per week and does virtually no other working out outside those 3 hours. At the start she hated walking and now can run a 5-10km quite comfortably.

    3. Thats my natural tan Boru!

    4. The show was very light and will hopefully act as a spring board for something more serious

    5. Yes i have put on a little under a stone of muscle since december last year and will be dropping down to 13st for upcoming marathon in september (i have 5 clients doing it also).

    6. I am more proud of my fiancee and my client than ANY model/actor etc as they provide real world examples of what can be done with grit and consistency

Finally - smellyirishman thanks for putting it up and i have put it on the front of my website also
