Firefox Javascript Grief.

Using firefox to browse these forums and the javascript menus along the top have stopped working. Also when I click quick-reply in a forum nothing happens.

I went into the settings and disabled and the renabled javascript and have ensured context menus are displayed as per the advanced options.

This happened before but kind of fixed itself ish before I reformatted by chance and it was grand when I reinstalled.

I've been careful about what sites I visit and stuff to keep my PC running tip top because I convert a lot of DVDs and media files to I like it running as fast as poss.

Any ideas? Is it a firefox prob or is something ****ing with me javascript?

(even tried to add a confused smily on this interface and it was having none of it.)

Ensure you're using the latest version of FireFox.

List version of FireFox + all installed Extensions.

Are you using NoScript for FF?

I have adblock set to allow anything with boards in the url.

Is your JRE up to date?

I had terrible problems with java and FF at the start, it would freeze the browser, had to download the JRE through Internet Explorer to get it working.

Java (tm) and JavaScript have nothing to do with each other. At all.

Odd. I experienced the same issues described above with earlier versions of FireFox. Hmmm. Disable all extensions anyway, and test?

Aye - javascript is a totally different kettle of fish. Its a web scripting language which happens to use the same quotations as Java but it is not a Java app.

I don't get it - it worked before I went to the pub tonight - I'm back now and it won't work. Its a pain in the ass. I have to right click and open link in new tab to reply to these suggestions.

Using Windows (XP?) : System Restore?:) Go back a day , or at least review changes made tonight if any.

Trouble is I left the puter running - so if I system restore god knows what it would restore too. I literally left it doing nothing (forgot to kill it). I was browsing to kill time waiting on a text from the chick I met in the pub so I literally left it on the desktop running. No firefox open, nothin. I came home to find two MSN conversations started in my absence. Nothing else was running bar windows ****e.

Try uninstalling your extensions one at a time

Boardsie Enhancement Suite - a browser extension to make using Boards on desktop a better experience (includes full-width display, keyboard shortcuts, dark mode, and more). Now available through your browser's extension store.

    Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/boardsie-enhancement-suite/

    Chrome/Edge/Opera: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/boardsie-enhancement-suit/bbgnmnfagihoohjkofdnofcfmkpdmmce

I'm confused. I left it and got some much needed sleep and now this morning it works again. Random. I rebooted twice last night to be sure.

Whoever said computers can't think is an ass - mine has ****in mood swings.
