Spirulina Questions

    Does anyone take this stuff?

I got the tablets a while back but they kinda scraped their way down my throat when I took them so I opted for the powder this time. The problem is the powder makes everything taste like mud. Is there any non-disgusting way of taking it? I tried mixing it in a glass of water but it was minging. It's not too bad in smoothies, although it turns the smoothie dark green which is a bit off-putting.

Also, does anyone know if it's ok to take Udo's Oil while taking spirulina?

    Cheers.

Spirulina tastes like muck. i find it's better if you mix it with an electric blender. I use a small one I have with juice. Generally I use whatever juice I have although at the moment that happens to be Pineapple and that is undrinkable with it. Orange juice blended with a tsp full is ok if you just knock it back and try not to think about it.

I find the powder much much better then the tablets. I feel the benefits from it much quicker. Also worth noting is that it will stain things really easy.

Honestly, if I didn't feel the benefits of it were so good it wouldn't be worth it.

So, like, one part Spirulina for every two parts Electric Blender?

Spirulina is a sea algae and is considered by some to be one of the most nutritent dense foods in the world.

I use it for energy and I know it works for that because I can feel it. I believe that it has really high irons levels in it and that it is very easy to digest.

It is said that it is very good for your immune system and to aid weight loss and is a low fat high protein food source. Although I have read that there is of course criticisms of all these claims as well.

I tried it after a friend recommended it. I don't know whether it's as super a food as is claimed I just know that I feel really "energised" (I hate that word but it fits this context) after drinking it.
