This will be a request for info but I sense a rant coming on too lol

Im not sure what Im doing wrong with my diet.. but I have a few ideas and maybe you'd all help me out with it.

Im 5'7, 10st 10lbs and according to my weighing scales, 22% BF and 58% water.

Visually I could do with getting rid of my gut as its not a major problem but its starting to bother me.

My standard day starts with breakfast late (11ish) which is a bowl of frosties with supermilk or skimmed milk.

Lunch is normally chicken gougons or soup with brown wholemeal bread.
Dinner then is usually chicken and pasta or potatoes etc.

I tend to get really really hungry at night time which usually means going to the fridge at 10 or 11 and eating a slice or two of lean ham.

If Im snacking I'd usually have wholemeal toast with low fat spread.

Water wise Im not the best. It drives me mad running to the loo all the time when I drink a lot of water but I'd say I drink less than a litre a day. Is this important for shedding fat?

I've tried buying healthier stuff like apples and weetabix but I just dont eat it. I cant force myself to do it. Im not the best for eating fruit so I drink a glass of innocent smoothie every day instead.

Im not doing great on the exercise front because for the last year or so my knees have been in bits (I'll leave that one with the doctor), so my exercise has suffered a lot.

Really Im looking for a bit of tailored advice or kick in the ar$e :)

    Thanks!

(Note: the tailored advice comment was my attempt at sarcasm. Its the kick in the behind I need. Ha!)

Tailored advice? You must be kidding

No exercise, no fruit, no mention of green veg

I think the replys will be the most general ever as you really need to get the basics right first

    Read stickys first

Sigh.. I read them. Great advice. Its good to have that little push in the right direction I was looking for.

I do have plenty of fruit.. the fruit smoothies cover that. Do I really need green veg to lose a few pounds?

Thanks for that. The smoothies are actually very good. http://www.innocentdrinks.co.uk/drinks/drinks.html

Looks like I need to start drinking plenty of water so. I'm gonna get 30 mins of walking or running in every day too.

The smothies have just over 2 servings of fruit in them which still leaves you short nearly 3 of your fruit and veg portions, and no you do not need veg to help you lose weight but they can be helpful in keeping you healthy for the rest of your life, oh and ditch the smooties just eat some damn fruit
