Yeah espec since the gigs in London cost £16 (€24), almost exactly half what they cost here. Ridiculous. Still really wish I'd gotten a ticket though :(

OT: Just saw The Last King of Scotland, and it's excellent; couple of great performances from James McEvoy and Forrest Whitaker.

I love Youtube. I can finally watch it..Sinead says goodbye to her TV career, and goes out with a bang. Remember the controversy over it? Think I was 7 at the time. Go Sinead, you crazy skinheaded poet.

Seeing as how I'll be heading off to college in about an hour and a half I think its safe to say I won't be getting a wink of sleep tonight.

Wasn't there a thread created for just this sort of posting?

OT: Touching my keyboard I think. My hands have lost all feeling.

    Loser.

Listening the the sound of a truck backing up and people flicking through books in the library. Well actually I'm not actively listening to them... it's more of a background noise that I can only hear now.

Neither listening nor watching but funny nonetheless:

    Whine-Stein

A mole's mother was holidaying last week on the exclusive Caribbean island of Barbuda.

The hotel boasts a private and very exclusive beach, available only for the residents of the hotel, and this rule is strictly enforced.

This rule was stretched to the limit last week when big-shot Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein parked his boat offshore and waddled onto the private beach.

A waiter approached and informed Mr Weinstein that this beach was for hotel residents only. Puffing up his hateful hairy chest in a bantam-fashion, Harvey screeched the clarion call of all famous/desperate people worldwide. "Do you know who I am?"

The waiter was immaculate in manners, responding that he knew exactly who the hateful bastard was, but politely pointing out the residents-only rule nonetheless.

The manager was called but re-emphasised the hotel's policy.

"**** this," said Weinstein, "Well, I'll buy the ****ing hotel!"

"I'm afraid sir," said the manger with remarkable aplomb, "The ****ing hotel isn't for sale. Good day."

Just finished watching one of the TG4 mini-series 'No Béarla' (linkee to WebTV: http://www1.tg4.ie/Bearla/Webt/webt.htm [go to Cláir Eile, third one down]) which I very much enjoyed.

The presenter heads from Dublin to Belfast in search of Irish speakers.

This doesn't fit in anywhere but here is probably the nearest (since I saw this today)... I was walking from the Museum Building up towards front arch earlier on today. I had just gone past the entrance to house 22 when I looked right to see Joe O'Gorman going towards what I assume is his place of residence on campus while wearing a large white dressing gown. Very odd altogether.
