I know theres been loads of people wanting to lose weight really quickly, ive been on a healthy diet and exercise regime for last 2 months or so and ive had great results, lost a stone and a half. Thing is in 3 weeks id like to have lost a good bit more for a specific event, whats the best way of doing this?

I know people have said exercise on an empty stomach to burn only fat, and the obvious eat less solution, is there any other tips for this? After this time period i will be going back to a more healthier regime. What is the best way to burn fat over a short period of time?

you can actually eat nothing for a week or so, just herbal tea and water, and if you tend to have low blood pressure you might need a bit of salt (i had a bit of vegetable stock, that helps)

sounds terrible but it's actually ok after one or two days. and it's not unhealthy. than you can start with a bit of fruit, you won't need much when you first start eating again.

you can also eat fruit / vegetables or drink juices with water if you think you can't do without food.

i was working full time while doing it and i had to stand the whole day so it's not like you are going to hang around like a dead fly.

    worked for me

    and it's cheap :)

Eat bagels only with all sorts of toppings, obviously salads and stuff on a range of bagels and cinamon bagels when u want something sweet. They are virtually fat free. Best luck.

I definitely recommend not going a week without eating food. Your body would use up muscle tissue for energy aswel as fat, so while you may lose some fat, proportionately your bodyfat % will remain the same (or indeed, it may rise) because youre losing muscle tissue too.

To lose fat I go with a low carb (only fruit and vegetabels, oatmeal in the morning and after a workout), high protein (ie. 2 grams per pound of bodyweight) diet and cardio 2 or 3 times a week lasting 35-45 minutes at a time and weight train each muscle once a week. OP, what are your currnet stats, do you mind me asking?

you're right of course, not eating anything is not really fat burning but if you have to fit into a special dress for a special night it's the way i would go if i wanted to be sure.

probably depends for what exactly you want to lose weight / burn fat.

I was in the gym tonight and decided to hit the sauna after - five minutes later two lads came in wearing these rubbery-looking suits. I got chatting anyway - the two of them are doing boxing - and do the whole sweating-out thing 3nights a week.

First time I'd seen it, not sure if it's healthy or if you lose much weight doing that though. Just a thought.

    Good advice!

Keep up the good work is the best way to go about it. You can try cardio in the morning before breakfast as an add on, there are fat burners available on the market also. I don't use them but for a short period they might be useful to you. Non caffeine types I would recommend.
