I'm looking into buying an indoor rower - it's supposedly a good all-round exercise (and doesn't take up too much room in a 2 bed apartment!!)

The Concept 2 is reckoned to be the best available, but it's hellishly expensive. Anybody recommend a good machine at a more realistic price? (I'd be prepared to pay a few hundred, max €800)

    Exactly, and the rower sucks!

Its really good for cardio if you like it, but Ive always hated it, its just so borin

And yeah, most local gym memberships are 500 a year, incl use of ALL the machines, and a fitness programme, plus professional advice, and diet help

Also, you're kiddin urself! I guarantee u wouldnt use the rower at home, with the gym u kinda go to spite urself, so you dont lose the money you paid

    Anyways, Good luck!

    Thanks for the positive advice:rolleyes:

But seriously, I've done the gym thing and it doesn't work for me. I already do weights at home, and find it much easier to give up half-an-hour at home rather than driving to the gym after work - when that's the last thing I want to do. With that in mind, does anybody have any pointers on what rowing machine to buy? (see my first post on this thread)

    cheers
