Pick a team of 12 players. Points awarded according to the position the player exits the main event ie. finish 3345th - 3345 points....finish 24th - 24 points. The person with the lowest scoring team wins.

    Anyone interested??

Maybe if you limit it to the people that cashed, imagine it would be hard to keep track of a player that finished 2615th and the spot isn't usual advertised as theres players out every 30 secs or so.
    Anyway heres my 12,

ok - i think we shoiuld all have to pick again, and we get 20M budget. The budget works like this. The cost of a player is their all time money wins taken from the hendon mob database.

Ok my 12 in decending order of greatness *

Eoin Olin (yes I am THAT vain)
    Phil Ivey
    Michael Mizrachi
    Ram Vaswami
    Dan Harrington
    Chris Ferguson
    Dan Negreanu
    Patrick Antonitus
    David Williams
    Josh Arieh
    Marcel Luske
    Gavin Smith

Im leaning toward youth as Im not sure the old boys will have the stamina for an eight day event.

I'll go for $50 too, need a while to work out my team though based on the $20m budget though - should we not make it a bigger budget though - even $30m (i.e. I want Raymer, but not for 1/2 of my budget)

Also we need someone to hold the money like Daithio in the Sweep, Mr PT or ocallagh??

$20M budget is a good idea and the points only counting once they've made the money. I'm up for the €50 as well but I'm not posting my team 'til later.

What about bonus points for amatuer players on your team doing well??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,782 ✭✭✭Scotty #

I notice as well that nearly everyone has picked Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi, and understandably, he's had a good year. But nobody's picked "The Mouth" Matusow, who's had an excellent year. Any particular reason for this??

I was going to pick him but he made the final table last year so variance may well come into play, plus hes a donkey.

As for David Williams he was touch and go but has a knack of winning big events.

My team is not my final draft still have to check the 20mill budget rule etc

I'm in for this too, I think we need to post the players name and their cost to the right of them too, for clarity.

If someone is bored at work they might think of getting a list of them together (I'm up to my doodads today as will become clear soon!)
