One leg longer than the other

I find that after a run, my left knee is a lot more tense than my right knee, and it seems to make my left leg seem slightly longer than my right leg

    Anyone know anything about this???

You may have a muscle imbalance on one side.

If you are track running (small track) or running on the roadside where the road falls off i.e. to allow rain water to wash of, (one foot then is slightly lower than the other when running) the muscles can compensate and become more tense on one side or the other.

Either up your stretchingon the shortened side especially gluteals and piriformis stretch or maybe a bit of a heel lift in shoe the shortend side may give short term relief. I'd say your running surface is prob the cause though.

No, I run on a treadmill

Ive had bad knees for years, growing I think

If I crouch down, like Spiderman :P, I hear a sound like meat tearing when I stand up again
Its not sore, but it seems bad

    'Meat Tearing' doesn't sound good.

Get it checked out by a professional, it may take something really simple to sort it out and prevent problems later on.

Sounds like two things to me, bad posture/ pelvis instability or misalligned hips. For the pelvis stability a few pilates classes will go a long way and for the misalligned hips a trip to the osteo path.

My left leg is longer than my right one(although thats a rugby injury) and i went to the physio and got insoles, there pretty good for running and stuff. If u go to any physio (i think some chemists might do them) and ask for insoles, you can get them. they can even up leg sizes although id recommend going to a proffesional and getting ur leg size measured.
