why u backing victoria on fri night sizzler?
won what looked an ordinary handicap last time out.
handicaps are hard to win derby weekend at the curragh..

Didnt really fancy anything today so did a treble at 125.6/1 ...... pity it was only for €0.50 stake but if K Burkes horse actually comes in I will owe you a pint or two.

Just hope he had a bath this morning ;)

Tis not the worst thing in the world Genco and we're all mates here...I will say this though...When you have a treble or something similiar and you tell people the first two winners...the third will always lose.

Well lets just say I backed it the last time because I *cough* fancied it ;)

Seriously though, if its good to firm tomorrow night (hoping the ground doesnt soften up too much tonight) then shes in will with a real chance, she won her last race easy and same distance again, bottom weight and after seeing her draw (2) she has to have a real chance.

It is a big field though and you need a hell of a lot of luck to win a race like that ,but I'll be jumping on each way, hopefully shes around 10's at least.

I wouldnt post if I didnt genuinely fancy a result :)

I think Distant Piper may still be on a fair enough mark for this.

Hello Roberto wins when I go nowhere near it. This is typical I tells ya!

Nothing really stands out in the aftenoon cards for me and not much time for research or selections at todays meetings. Guess I will stick small stakes on the each of the selections with 50% of any winnings going on the next runner and so on.

First three selections win and last two are each way following the staking plan above.

15:10 Market Rasen Arctic Cove :(
    16:30 Folkestone Bullseye
    18:30 Newmarket Logsdail

    19:15 Newcastle Sierra Vista :)
19.35 Newmarket Winds of Change :)

Any winnings at the end of the day to go on Victoria Night for kicks and giggles.

got a call from me brother, his mate works in a will hill and told him that Goose Island running at 6.30 in the curragh is highly fancied tonight
at 10s in PP and 12s in Will Hill.
Has a decent form when the going is Good but hasnt run since october finishing 6th
Cause its me brother I stuck €10 EW

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,936 ✭✭✭fade2black

For a second there I thought you said he worked in a wind mill

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,764 ✭✭✭DeadParrot

    well he does,
you see a mouse had gotten itself stuck in among the barley at the mill and was due a terrible crushing death until me brothers mate rescued it.
This was no ordinary mouse, indeed it was magical and upon rescue stood up on its hind legs and proceeded to speak in an uncommonly deep voice for a mouse.
Back Goose Island at the curragh this evening fair sure and thou shalt be rewared for thy actions.
Upon which the mouse disappeared and a Racing Post fluttered down from the rafters and opened on the page containing the curraghs racecard.
Needless to say my brothers mate was stunned nad proceeded to let my brother know.
He in turn told me and I am spreading the word of this mystical rodent

It's probably a more reliable source than where most tips come from!

Got a couple of tips for tonight.

Firstly at 6:30 Goose Island is strongly fancied to be at least placed, this comes from one of my more reliable sources.

The second one I don't really know what to make of as it's a new source and the tip is Miss Maximus at 6:00 to be placed, it's a 50/1 shot so I think It'll be a watching brief for me, I just thought I'd post it just in case.

That mouse lie to you as well?
Goose Island No-where, Im never helping an animal in danger again ;)

haha...there's a mate of mine who can't tip his hat but he continues to text me anyway. Every time he does though I reply with a mesage.

"We're sorry but the number you have texted has blocked a number of words that appear in your text {"tip", "win", "whisper"}. Subsequently the entire message has not been received"

He text me with a tip for Goose Island tonight...I couldn't get on in time to warn you MasterK.

All I can is sorry folks.

Ah sure, was worth a shot!

Had it as part of a treble with the 2 Tony McCoy horses that were pulled up so at least Victoria Night finished the course!!

Am hoping Kieron Fallon on Hitchock in the 9.00 and Hypnosis in the 9.30 come through for me!

Keep em coming Sizzler. My selections didnt cover themselves in glory so most of my staking was lost on them.

god was a bad day for forums, down a bit of money also... Funnily enough the 2 days I follow the crumbs system and both days he doesnt win lol :) Might give tomorrow a break but I have money on Greenwhich Meantime at 4 - 1. No point in doing an each way, this horse on form latelty so he may place at least, but could be wrong :D Worth half of an each way double methinks...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,130 ✭✭✭✭Kiera

Not sure about Greenwich Meantime, drawn high and that first bend at Newcastlet comes very fast, although watched him l;ast week, looked good, bloody typical, not a cent on anything on Saturday and picked five winners from the six televised races

Shes out again tonight in a pretty average company handicap race (830), last run was too bad to be true so Im giving her a 2nd chance and at 16/1 with places down to 4th Im thinking why not !

Also, Fallon has a few decent mounts on what seems to be a pretty poor card so he should do well, conceivably he should at least get a treble !

Hitchcock is out again tonight also.
