you can buy weights harnesses and use discs. ive seen lots of boxers doing this.
a good clean will build up the traps to such an extent that you'll be fine for most things though

Being honest the best method imo is to do upright rows and do shrugs directly after or in between sets.

You really feel it I can tell you.

i use ankle weights placed on my forehead. lying down raise slowly until failre. the ankle weights are 5 pound each. tough going at first. remember that the neck muscles are easily strained so be careful with any neck exercise you use.

Tbh I would knock the Upright Rows on the head….not really good for anyting that can't be done better another way to be honest. Like Cause said, start rocking the cleans and your traps will really come on, do shrugs PROPERLY if you really want to do some direct for for the traps etc.

I would advise though that boxers train the neck not really for size, but more for building up strenght etc and an ability to keep the head stationary against impact etc.

The size of a neck is generally speaking genetically predetermined to be honest….much the way the "sprinters have huge quads" and "boxers have big necks"……not really, the best of each do, because these are the guys we get to see perform at the highest levels and these genetics advantages helped get them there!!!!

But now I'm straying from the point a little!!!

I have no idea what a clean is.

I could go off and google it but tbh I would like to know how it would be an improvement over rows and shrugs.

    Thanks.

I understand google has everything but seeing as you said you would drop rows for cleans I want to know why...and I want to know why from you...not google...
