Chyna on Nancy Grace Thursday night: http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=rXkwChzVRlA Bryan Alvarez and Marc Mero also make appearances, and Dave Meltzer has another very brief showing

Chyna looked a bit better than she has at other times this year, but she really let herself down with a couple of statements. She said that she never took steroids, but then she took a guess at saying that pretty much everyone in WWE is taking steroids, the same as it was when she was working there. If she never took steroids and managed to get a body as big as she had, then a man putting in the same effort would be bigger. Bit of a contradiction in there

She also said that the majority of people she worked with are dead before 35. That's obviously an extreme exaggeration

They still have the likes of Owen Hart, Bruiser Brody, Brian Hildebrand and Nancy Benoit on that list of wrestlers who died from drugs or non-accidental deaths. You'd think that would have been corrected by now

EDIT: Meltzer comes back on for a bit in part 6 and then they start talking about Owen Hart's death, which doesn't really have much to do with the rest of the show

This may have been posted already but I'll do it again anyway. I think Cornette is a genius.

A bit of a strange documentary on the Von Erich family here: http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=pwbFjyGy61E&mode=related&search=

I'm halfway through it, it's mainly clips of matches, promos, news reports, interviews and some story about two Japanese girls committing suicide

I was just looking around Youtube and I noticed that the 2nd most linked video of today is a video of SOS: http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=73kLO9_ugSM

I've got to wonder how wise his cursing is when the majority of his fanbase are kids!

All wrestling shows, PPV's and occasionally Personalised DVD's here

    http://galaxiawrestling.blogspot.com/

The site is in Portuguese but the list of shows is done by date of postage on the left. Shows are nearly always up when I wake up but PPV's take about a day because the files are so big.Audio is perfectly synched.

You can thank me below :D

INCREDIBLE Vidoe Wire. Those are some of the most amazing scenes I've seen in any wrestling company anywhere, ever. there is so much potential oin this angle and storyline, i haven't been this hyped in a long time. This could even outdo the Summer of Punk as Gabe's finest hour as a booker. Insane stuff.

I think ROH's greatest moment was when Punk won the title and turned on the fans. This reminded me of that and I think it might have outdone it, unless the whole thing falls flat on its face, which I can't see happening. It's the Briscoes vs two of the AOTF guys at one of the next shows

The muppets on the ROH board, more specifically - Kid From Camp Cabana who keeps refering to those who drink AOTF Kool Aid? WTF is that twat on about. Are you not allowed like this angle because it is actually good? Pity they dont have ignore lists on that forum. And WTF is kool aid???

Some cult, I can't remember the name, all committed suicide by drinking poisoned Kool Aid in what I think was the largest mass suicide ever. Otherwise Kool Aid is just a regular fizzy drink. He's using it to refer to how he doesn't think Jimmy really is the saviour of the fans, and he's just leading them down a bad road

I'm finding those boards very funny these days, there's been some very intellectual discussion on there about society. Intellectual for a wrestling board anyway! I think it's Lonewolf who's really got behind the AOTF, some people are really getting into it. I think there's a lot of people who do think that the angle's good, but they're playing their part as ROH fans in kayfabe and saying they want the AOTF out (since ROH are playing up that they're not actually part of ROH)

That was the Peoples Temple, something like 900 people died, the crazy f*ckers.

I do love this angle but it's got nothing on (well, nothing may be a little harsh, how about it's not as good as) Death Before Dishonor 3. The visual of Jay being hung is insane and Jimmy is a sick little bastard, but his promo wasn't nearly as good as Punk's was, in delivery as well as content. I just don't think the angle will live up to how it has begun, they have raised the bar very high for themselves. I'll be interested to see what Tyler Black is like, has anyone seen much of him before?

It's sure going to brighten up 2007 though. Hopefully I'm wrong and it turns out to be the single greatest wrestling angle in history.

And yes, the ROH boards are on fire right now!!

Tyler is very very good in the ring. He's definitely one of the top indy guys not to have wrestled in ROH. Here's a few videos of him:

Tyler Black & Jimmy Jacobs vs The Trailer Park Boyz in WSX: http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/tyler+black/video/x17wye_trailer-park-boyz-vs-difh_extreme

Tyler Black & Jimmy Jacobs vs That 70's Team in WSX: http://www.dailymotion.com/relevance/search/tyler+black/video/x17g3o_difh-vs-that-70s-team_extreme

I haven't seen either of those matches, but Joey Ryan is in the 70's Team and that match should be good, although it's WSX, so I dunno

There was a very good match on Dailymotion of Tyler & Jimmy vs Sabin & Shelley from PWG, but it seems to be gone now

    EDIT: Here's a few more I found:

Tyler Black vs Danny Daniels from SCW: http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=_2gZe1wYvk0

Tyler Black vs Low-Ki from IWA-MS last year: http://www.veoh.com/videos/v385858kwA4eCRF

    And here's the Black/Jacobs vs Sabin/Shelley match: http://www.veoh.com/videos/v967236nBAptZEZ

The match with the Trailer Park Boyz is much better than the other WSX one. I've never seen such blatant move calls as the ones by Danny Daniels in the match there! Really ****ty finish to that match too, kinda ruins some of the good stuff they did, just to give a warning in case anyone gets pissed off with it!

In addition the phrase "drinking the Kool Aid" may have ben used by Heyman in a promo at some stage in the last few years as an analogy for the cult like behaviour for the ECW fans and it has now been adopted in some quarters when referring to ROH fans who cannot take criticism of the product.

Nice one Fozzy! I watched the Low Ki match but its mostly Low Ki killing him so it didn't help too much! The link to the MCMG's match was giving my jip earlier, I'll try again later.

Now this is the greatest thing I've seen in a long while, ignore the bizarre first few minute and a half and then behold the awesomeness that is Shockwave the Wrestling Robot. His theme tune makes it IMO. And he's not a bad worker either!!!

    Fabulous Rougeau entrance music. Legendary.

Shockwave is simply awesome! He deserves a place in the entrance theme thread. The clip of him in the gym is pretty incredible too.

What's the story with shockwave? is it a transformers gimmick or something??

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,594 ✭✭✭Fozzy

Shockwave is a robot from Transformers, and the Japanese love their crossover gimmicks!

Haha, I was just watching this: http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=0opU_wz0j34. It's a tv piece on wrestling in the 80's, featuring Gorilla Monsoon and Hulk Hogan. They analyse some slow-motion footage to show that Gorilla didn't really hit Hogan, complete with classic mystery music playing over it. But I think that he did hit him in the second bit!

I ****ing hate when the mainstream media report on wrestling, they invariably treat it with contempt bordering om dismissiveness. If anything the chop he threw connected better than the rather crappy blow to the head!!!

Danielson vs Kamala. Need I say more?

Edit 1: Actually yes, Prince Nana is the guest referee!

Edit 2: Wow. I wish I had of watched that match before posting, it was brutal. And I feel silly! :o

Did anyone find ROH Driven yet, my American cousin is taking his time sending it over, the ******
