I've just managed to connect to Nintendo Wifi through my dial up 56K modem.
God knows how slow that would be for AC.

It works in theory.
I've yet to visit anyones town or have any visitors so there's no telling how much lag there'll be.
Since AC isn't a game reliant on reaction speed it should work ok.
