as for rap....common gimme a break!

I tried to watch rap on MTV, and it was this

Here Here, I find a lot of rap/hip hop very painful to listen too, both the "gansta/2pac/general fueding" and the new wave kinda charty stuff that just raps about how much stuff they own. Though I did hear this one track and the chorus was something about "swinging you shirt around your head like a helicopter???"

Very loud 80's Metallica is great to train to, fcuk your Rocky Soundtrack.

Yeah I always wondered, if them rappers owned so much, how
come they never can afford clothers that fit...all these ass baggy
jeans, and even though they come from sunny california, they wear
massive anaoraks like they going to the north pole!!

Nothing like blasting a punch bag to "For Whom The Bells Toll" !!! yES!!!

I dig on metal lads, speshly the early to mid 90's I've got a sh1tty lumberjack shirt and a ganja baseball cap kind of metal. Hip hop that you get on the radio mostly stinks and is like saying that Ronan Keating and Johnny Cash are the same for country music.

J5, Roots, Kanye etc. are damn fine training music I tells ya.

Poor Maeve, Slightly off topic here.

    Biohazard are class!

I went to see "Sick f it all" last week at the Voodoo Lounge. My ears still hurt! Great gig.

    HEY MILL!!!

You like Typ-O and Carnivore! Hahah! They are fecking class... I'm a huge Pete Steel fan. (Although, I'm talking about early Type-O before they went all Gothy)

Carnivore - Retaliantion is one of my favs to...

    Hah! Great minds....:D

Gothy!?! You gotta read between the lines my friend.

    Type-O rule!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,085 ✭✭✭Baggio...

    Wait a minute.....
I'm talking about "Slow Deep and Hard", "Origin of the *****". Those albums are what I would call "Progressive Hardcore". Not gothy kids metal - the later stuff is very light and commercial and not to my taste, Although I do like "Bloody Kisses" even if it's a tad commercial.

I think I know how to read between the lines, as I know the band so well.

Isn't Glen Danzig a black belt in something or other?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,085 ✭✭✭Baggio...

    Hah! Danzig.... What a runt....

His Black Belt did him no good when the lead vocalist of the "North Side Kings" knocked him out at one of his own gigs – Danzig was giving it loads and then BANG! Right on the button, he was seeing stars. It was totally his fault as well. That will lean him - not to push a 200lb shave headed Biker.

Any one see that Mpeg? Very funny.:D :D:D:D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29 john22

That was hilarious. He was just holding his head on the floor after :p
Serves him right for acting like a Idiot.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,085 ✭✭✭Baggio...

    Totally...

The Big Fella' was not even getting aggressive. Danzig was just trying to show off to a few of his groupies.;)

Also, the guy only clipped him.... If he made full contact Danzig would have been in an ambulance.

    Later,

    B.

The same observation could be made about metal. A bunch of guys jumping around on a stage with long hair, screaming at the top of their lungs to distorted music.

Judging by your comments, you're obviously not very familar with the intricacies of hip hop. It's not all about gun's and ho's.. :)

Boooo!!! I was just being generic and showing how it looks when people generalise a music genre ;)

See above ;) Same was as hip hop is not all about people with backward's hats and talking about gun's and hos.

For anyone thinking about getting their mitts on a Red Man suit. They are a great investment for any club - especially suited for RBSD and full contact.

Type O have gone from strenght to strenght! If you do read between the lines you see that they have changed sounds and styles but have always been incredible artists and craftsmen. I love all of Type O's material.

    Vinland for ever!

    Hi Fianna,

Just had a look at “Petrochemical Accelerator's website”. Pretty much as I suspected (White Zombie, Danzig....Ewwwww!).

    Some interesting lyrics though.........

They even have pictures of the band tattoos – not sure why though???

I see why our musical opinions differ, I wouldn't class White Zombie, Danzig or Blink 182 as being remotely similar.

    Peace

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,085 ✭✭✭Baggio...

    Hey Fianna,

I don't think they are remotely simmilar, but I would consider all those bands to be very "nambi pambi". Especially Danzig... The Misfits were class, but his solo stuff in my opinion is not far off Bon Jovi or something:D .

Again that's just my taste... Although I see Drummo likes Sepultura and Pantera (Vulger display) - That's good stuff.

    Whatever floats yer boat...

    Later,

    B.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 757 ✭✭✭FiannaGym.com

Oh right, it was just that you told Drummo to go back to his "blink 182", then when you visited his site you found White Zombie and Danzig as you "expected". So I was confused as to why you said any of that, thats all.

    Peace

If we all liked the same stuff - thisplanet would be very boring:) .
