    Is the answer
'a rock group'. It would say 'who am i?' if it was looking for a band name.

About the restaurant one , 10 each makes thirty , then 5 euro given back between three of them would mean that 25 is paid for the meal which is 8.33 euros each. One each back from the 5 gives a total of 9.33 each paid for the meal . 9.33 x 3 equals 27.9999... or 28 . And 2 to the waiter is 30 , no issues , it all adds up.

Where the phantom issue comes in is that its assumed that they all paid nine at some point , whereas that was never the case ,

When the 5 was returned it was 8.3333.... each and when 1 each is given back its 9.33333...etc.

    It was never a case of 10 - 1 at any point , it can only ever have been a case of 10 - ( 5/3) , or 10 - 1.66666.... .

You have nine identical cuboid boxes each containing nine cubes. Each cuboid is labelled with a number from 1-9 and its contents (the cubes) have the same number on them as the cuboid whihch they are in.

You are told that each inner cube weighs 1kg except the cubes from one cuboid which each weigh 1.01kg.

You have a weighing scales capable of weighing to the accuracy of 0.01kg.

You are only allowed make one weighing.

How do you determine which cuboid contains the heavier cubes?

    just to clarify
so eight of the boxes will weigh 9Kg and the other box will weigh 9.09Kg

Take one block from the first cuboid
    Two from the second
    Three from the third
    Four from the forth

    and so on

Then weigh the 45 little cubes that you have. If the weight is 10 grammes over 45kg, it is the first cuboid which contains the heavier cubes, it it is 20 grams over-weight, then it is the second and so on and so forth.

    ?

    Is it
    132110

    Reason:
First line is one zero = 10
2nd line describes the first. one 1 and one zero = 1110
    3rd line describes the 2nd. three 1's and one zero = 3110

You cannot look in the door without entering. On return you must give your answer.

na, you turn on on for a few minutes and then turn it off. then you turn another one on and walk into the room. you obviously know which switch belongs to the one thats on and the bulb that's off but still hot is for the other switch

Pretend you're a bus driver. You start at New York and fifty people get on.
Then you drive to New Jersey and twenty people get off, while five get on.
Then you go to Florida and ten people get off while fourteen get back on.
When you get to New Mexico, twenty people leave and five more get back on.
When you reach California everyone get's back on. How old is the bus driver?

    Riddle.
There are twelve identical balls... well almost twelve as one of the balls is heavier or lighter than the other eleven identical balls.

You also have a balance and are allowed to make three comparisons in order to find out which ball is the dodgy one AND whether it is heavier or lighter than the others.

While exploring the wilds of Canada, Wild Man Dave was captured by hostile wood fairies. Brad, the powerful chief of the fairies told him he could make one final statement which would determine how he would die. If the statement he made was false, he would be boiled in water. If the statement were true, he would be fried in oil. Wild Man Dave found neither of this options too his liking, so he made a statement that got him out of this seemingly impossible situation. What is the one statement he could have made
Wild Man Dave said: "You will boil me in water." The fairies were faced with a dilemma. If they boil him in water, that would make his statement true, which means he should have been fried in oil. They can only fry him in oil if he makes a true statement, but if they do, it would make his final statement false. The fairies had no way our of their situation so they were forced to set Wild Man Dave free.

put 6 balls on one side, 6 on the other, u will have identified the side that is heavier ball, then use these 6 and put 3 on wither side, again, u will have identified the heavier side, then u are left with 3, place one on each scale, if they balace, u have the heavier one in ur hand, if not the scale will show.

He was a lighthouse keeper. He had forgotten to turn the light on when he went to sleep. A ship crashes and sank without the light. He heard about this on the radio and felt guilty.

this is wrong because you dont know if the ball your looking for is lighter or heavier,so if one side is heavier it could because a lighter ball is on the other side.
