quick question about press - ups

    Hey guys . im a male 25 yr ld average height and build. Are press ups a suitable way to build arm muscles . Im not finding dumbell curls very good . I would do either 3x12 with 12.5 kg or 2x8 with 15 kg. Im fimding it tough to go beyond this.
    if i try and increase the no of pressups i do , can this build arm muscles ?
    currently i would do 15 - 20 press ups max.
    Your opinion much appreciated!

    They wont build arm muscles to any great extent,they'll tone you up allright.To build mass on the arms and chest try bench pressing.For big rams you'll need to work the triceps as well as the biceps as they form 60% of the overall size,again benching is good for this or you could try tricep extensions,rope pulldowns for your triceps and standing barbell curls,concentration curls and preacher curls for your biceps.
