Packet monitor?

hi! ..just switched isp to magnet... they have given a 25gig limit on downloads for the mo.. they charge 50c for every extra gig... my housemates a bit of a bandwidth whore and i predict he might try and stick us with part of the extra surcharge for going over..... basically im looking for a packet monitor... something…

basically im looking for a packet monitor... something that logs monthly ideally.. something low on resource use would be good aswell..
i want one just incase my housemate goes asking for money so i can go "here's how much i downloaded!"
