It was a good day out for a bit of metal-spotting, and luckily stayed dry, and not so warm as to entice spectators to the beach nearby instead. I ended up bringing my poorly BMW down to make up the numbers, and ended up jump-starting a car or two later in the day! Nice balance between old and "new" as well.

Nice to meet Junkyard there, chatted to him briefly, but unfortunately he was nowhere to be seen when I headed to the bar ;)

I've uploaded a few photos to http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v219/Ryanmurphy/Car%20Stuff/ so feel free to have a look.

Congrats too, to Johnny Greene, Ger Walsh and all those who both offered sponsorship and assistance. It would be nice to see this become an annual event.

It was a fine car. It's hard to believe that a few years ago they were ten a penny, a la Mk IV Escorts and Cortinas. Fords don't seem to age much better than Fiats tbh.

That 127 won a cup for best FWD, IIRC. Well deserved it was.

Photobucket had a brain fart and resized most of the pics, attached is the 127, slightly larger.

    Attachment not found.

Great photo's there Roundy and nice to meet you too. It was a great turnout of classic's on the day and the weather was just right. I didn't even think of going to the bar as there was too much to see. GarretDee won first prize for best sports car, I saw his Porsche 911 targa which is a beauty, but I didn't see him. Did you make it to the show Mike65?
