All in all, it went pretty well.

In question 1, on debt factoring, there was a small bit referring to defective products and I was aware of the problem but just didn't know it...ggrrr!

Also the problem question on insider dealing was over a page long  , took 10 minutes to read and decipher!

In the end, I reckon I did fairly well, I reckon a good 2:1.....

Now to study for international business law for tomorrow...

Strategy .. expected it to be a nightmare but not that bad! Just found out that I answered one question with the complete wrong answer (which is 33% down the drain!) Ah well, at least it's one down... roll on thursday!

History - easy enough but answered part 2 on The Pesant Revolt when i could have done a better essay on the consequesnces of the 100 year war. Part one wasnt so bad "deal with the remergence of heresy in the 12th-13th century"

Contemporary Irish Society and Culture 1st year
Did the first question on the Catholic Church that was alright I focused on the Catholic socialisation of the individual through the education system what did they do like self denial and consquence was repression of sexual love and passion

The second question was on the sociological theories of consumption that what I did, okay though.

Third question on how does the modernisation theory apply to the economic growth of the Celtic Tiger that was easy!

    History Making Of Europe
The two questions I did were the purpose of the first crusade that was grand. The second question was the effects of the Black Death on western Europe, very easy did an essay on that topic with the exact same question.

Got International Politics on Thursday Sociology in Practice on Friday.

I invigilated 1st law, spanish, something with Irish culture, ex physic and programming for engineers. Eye candy? Hm, didn't look, tbh.
But loads of girls in horribly applied fake tan. There was one girl with weird hands. Her knuckles were distinctively darker than the rest of the patchy hand. Uagh. Looks so dirty! Was a wee bit surprised about the high percentage of girls in the ex physic section.

And got absolutely soaked on way from RDS to no10 bus stop. Took ages to dry in front of radiator with plenty of hot tea. Still, have a massive sore throat now :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 569 ✭✭✭failsafe

You're modular next year, you should be timetabled to do the repeats the next time the subject is offered. If the subjects you're taking now are being offered again the first semester I'd wager that you'll have to take those ones at Christmas. Might wanna talk to the Programme Office to check that though.

No afraid u have to wait until next semester, repeats will be at Christmas time. I wouldnt think the worst though economic theory is usually marked pretty decently.......... thought i failed last year but passed somehow so i wouldnt worry about it

It's true, invigilating is sort of boring. But we actually were quite busy. We had very few invigilators and had to take care of the x seats too.

Additionally, these were all 1st years. Ways too young for me. When looking at the boys, I just cannot perceive them as anything male - they are babies to me.

So, it's more entertaining for me to bitch about the girlies queer sense of fashion and beauty. :D

yeah i was discussing the age thing with some of the other invigilators - my reasoning is that first years could easily be 19 or 20, and i'm 21, so it's not too much of a gap.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,246 ✭✭✭✭Riamfada

Actually there was one particularly hot invigilator yesterday doing my row. She was dressed in all black with dyed red hair...tasty. And 22 so its cool :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,755 ✭✭✭elmyra

    My English paper was um....

One yummy question (Merchant's Tale) :D

    One meh-I-waffled-but-it-wasn't-totally-****e question (Nun's Priest's Tale).

The invigilator I've had for the past two days is soooo hot, he's got rugby player shoulders and general hotness goin' on. I think he's deadleh and now plan to take exams on in whatever subject area he's invigilating.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,551 ✭✭✭panda100

yeah theres a really cute invigalator who looks like freddie Prince Junior out in the RDS.He gave me an extra pad of paper today...I think I could be in there........:D
First exam yesterday went brill,2nd one 2day went crappy...I think I got too excited after yesterdays one and so didnt study too well last night(watched the oc instead)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,755 ✭✭✭elmyra

I walked in behind you yesterday and I accidentally said 'hey panda' but you didn't hear me....unfortunately my friends did...I'm pretty sure they're worried about both how I did in that exam yesterday and my sanity!

Yesterday's exam was good though! :D

We are not getting subject areas though. We usually get halls. Like I got assigned to the RDS Shelbourne. That's mostly 1st years, I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,246 ✭✭✭✭Riamfada

Shelbourne is only 1st years as far as I know. Cradlesnatcher ;)

    Hey! I said I didn't look :D;)

Hot invigilator guys? Hm... cannot remember any guys at all, tbh. Ah, no. There was this one guy who was supposed to do Simmonscourt and didn't realise that there's more than one hall and ended up invigilating with us. He was cute, I suppose.

If you found it difficult, I seriously recommend avoiding computer science in 2nd year. That exam was by far the easiest i've done in my 3 years of comp. sci.
Fintan is cool though. I loved his illustrating programming by using the example of making tea.

I would agree about the easyness, especially since the questions in which we had to write methods were very similar to some of the labs we'd done during the year, only easier.

International Business Law this morning. We had the paper before going in which sounds great but it was a real struggle to get all of the 4 essays down in time. My hand feels like it's going to fall off - definitely the most I've ever written in a college exam, 15 pages or something crazy!

What about us mature student 1st years? I reckon I'm far too old for any of the invigilators

    ...or 23 :p

Programming was tougher than expected but still so very easy.

Did Organisational Behaviour today and remembered why i did Comp Sci. I really really really hate essay type questions. I always end up all over the place :(

Still passed the exam..but did i pass it enough to cover the CA (thats continuous assesment and not cellular automata for those of u who may SEP on the brain!) that i missed. We'll see.

Was ina good mood coming home with the sun out and 2 exams of 5 done with.

    Effing loved OB!

Did you do it this year?

You have the fat sexist bitch?

Joke of a subject. Did no study, as in none at all. Still quite confident I passed. Absolutely no relation to the real world, could have been interesting, instead just a continuous example that technical jargon does not an intellect make.

It was ok. Got through it anyway. Feel like my hand is going to fall off. It was the first exam where I was there right til the end.
