2006 Football Championship pools

29-04-2006 4:27pm#1Ok the championship is kicking off on the 7th May. Competition will be similar to last year.
The story:
- Use the template posted in the next post to make your predictions.
- There will be points for predicting the final score as well as the winner.
- All predictions must be made at the same time. A further round of predictions will be done when we know the quarter finalists.
- No hedging your bets. If you predict a team to win a province and come through the qualifier system you will not get ANY of the bonus points available for this.
So the points:
- 2 points for predicting the correct winner of a match-up (after a replay if neccesary)
- 1 bonus point for predicting the score to within 2 points (for the first game only ie. not a replay) (HINT: You must get the team correct before i consider this so make it at least 2 points!)
- 3 bonus points for correctly predicting the provincial winners
- 1 bonus point for correctly predicting the provincial runners-up
- 3 bonus points for each correctly named qualifier
From the quarter finals:
- 4 points for predicting the correct winner of a match-up (after a replay if neccesary)

- 4 bonus points for correctly predicting the all-ireland winners
- 2 bonus points for correctly predicting the all-ireland runners-up
Other stuff:
- People may enter the competition late but obviously will have forfeited points for games already decided
- New entries will only be valid if entered before the matches for that day start
- If a post is edited, the date of the edit will be used and any points gained previously will not count
So please use the template posted in the next post to make your predictions.
Format it as follows please:
1: Offaly v Louth = Offaly - 2 points
I've taken the dates and stuff from the fixtures list on gaa.ie so I hope they are correct!
I'll try and be better with getting the results up quicker this year than I was last year!
If possible could people please just post their selections until the championship kicks off. After this, comments and slagging is fine.
As is usual, slagging of Dublin/Meath/Cavan and Kerry is encouraged
