    Im looking for advice on the natural secretion of hGH.

    I've been reading up on the benefits of this hormone, and that there are certain Amino's that help increase the natural secretion of the hormone, there are also different approaches to training that help it also.

    However I picked up this snippet off another web site...

    Exercise – three sessions per week, each involving at least 10 minutes’ work above lactate threshold or a number of sprints, with a 1:3 work-rest ratio;
    Before exercise – no fat for 60 minutes before, 2g glutamine 60-90 minutes before;
    During exercise – plenty of plain water (ie 200 ml every 10-15 minutes if training in 18-21°C);
    After exercise – avoid sugar for two hours post exercise but take 25g protein immediately afterwards in the form of either a protein shake, protein bar, lean meat or eggs (although you should limit your consumption of eggs to avoid too much cholesterol).


    The bit that confuses me is the bit to avoid sugars for 2 hours after training, I always thought that sugars were badly needed after training for glycogen replacement, Insulin spikes and of course carb repletion.

    Has anyone here used a specific routine to help increase hGh in the system naturally. If so was it any use? And do you think it's worth focusing on?

    Its true that you need sugars for the above menchioned reasons in a bulking/bodybuilding diet but this is a specific gh releasing routine.

    If you do not ingest sugars after your muscle glycogen stores have been drained your body will release gh to mobilize glycogen stores (from fat) therefore raising your blood sugar levels and then release insulin to shuttle it into the muscles.

    Personally I don't really think doing a whole routine to raise gh levels a bit (18-30 yo only produce bout .5-1.5iu/day) is going to make a huge difference. Even synthetic gh (contrary to popular belief due to media hype over olympics) is very mild and you will only see mild results after 2-3 months.

    Try gaba as a supp, there is studys and stuff to say it cant cross the blood brain barrier ect but from personal experience I think it works...
