Preseli DAB - On Air

Hello, Just to let you know that DAB Radio has started from the Preseli TX. The BBC and Digital1 services are now up and running. The service is transmitting at an power of 5kW. Enough to knock out all the other distant stations I was receiving from futher afield!!! Great!!! I'd be interested to know if the signal is…

Just to let you know that DAB Radio has started from the Preseli TX. The BBC and Digital1 services are now up and running.

The service is transmitting at an power of 5kW. Enough to knock out all the other distant stations I was receiving from futher afield!!! Great!!!

I'd be interested to know if the signal is getting across the Irish sea!?

Receivable on a low hill (150m) near New Ross barely with a standard radio, full strength (in the scale used on a Pure receiver) with a large external antenna.

Going to get something up on the mast (75ft) at my house for band 3 to see if I can get anything here - get quite decent uhf tv from presely and can receive Real Radio on 105.7MHz which is broadcast from there.
