Loosing weight from my thighs

    Hey, I'm pretty fit and well toned but my thighs seem to be too big for the rest of my body. Is there anyway of losing some weight or muscle from my tighs without toning them up too much more. More the inside of my thighs than the outside. Any suggestions are welcome

    Try not training your thighs as much as usual.. cut out some excerises and see how u get on!!

    unfortunately this is a really, really common problem for loads of women, me included. As women we tend to collect fat stores around our bum and thighs anyway, because we have oestrogen, giving us the classic pear shape. Men, thanks to testosterone, collect it around the mid-riff, giving an apple shape.

    There's really no easy way to lose fat from the area- a good diet with plenty of good fats, and low in saturated fats is the first point of call (good fats and essential fatty acids actually help to metabolise fat stores). Cardio will help, but as for wanting to lose muscle... well that just shocks me :o Drink plenty of water to help flush out the cells, and body brushing will boost circulation in the area encouraging fat expulsion and your skin will appear smoother and be super-soft!!

    If you're on the pill, the elevated levels of oestrogen will also contribute to you storing fat there- I saw a huge difference in my legs within about 4 weeks of coming of it. At this stage I'm slowly coming around to not caring if my thighs are a bit on the big side. Meh, they're definitely not fat, they're just strong as hell, and dammit I know how to use them well :D

    Thanks guys...All cardio excerises seem to involve the legs so I can't really cut cardio out because then the rest of my body will suffer.
    Don't think I'd consider coming off the pill to lose wieght off my thighs would prefer the weight rather than 9 mths of weight on my belly tks..hahaha

    My legs are very strong and it mostly muscles on my thighs just thought there might have been a way of making them more lean rather than toned, if you know what i mean

    i was thinking this myself actually, i'm still really struggling to lower my body fat just that little bit more. i guessed it was something to do with being on the pill, and now that you've mentioned it i'm sure thats a big part of the prob... however i certainly dont want to come off it!

    might discuss it with my doctor
