I think after midnight is too late.

Never feed them after midnight and never let them get wet, that was it alright.

Pretty much yes, because you will be sitting idle for a long time not using up any of the carbs that you eat they will be stored as fat.

Eating cereal before bed is how i made myself fat as a kid!

If you do want to eat late at night make it a high protein snack like chicken, cottage cheese, a protein shake etc. I realy like having some fish late at night if i'm hungry as it's really low in fat and pretty light on the stomach.

The latest that i personnally eat carbs is at half eight for dinner, however, this is only on training days and ONLY because the carbs will go towards replenishing my muscle glycogen.

On days where i do not training I don't eat carbs that late.

Eating after 8.00pm is very bad. Along with helping you put on weight, it can deprive you of sleep

question, you're all giving times here, but what time are you going to bed? as someone who cannot hold down a normal sleeping pattern and is usually up until at least 2am or so, and much much later on weekends, how many hours before sleeping would you say is best to stop eating?

it does not matter what time of day or nite you eat as long as you stay within the recommended calorie intake for that 24hr period.

It's not quite that simple, as the energy you store can be stored as muscle, glycogen or fat depending on what, and when you eat. Also remember that it's not just calories in, but calories out that matter. If you eat cereal in the morning you'll probably burn more calories during the day because of the energy it gives you, whereas if you eat it at night and then go to sleep your additional energy expenditure due to the cereal will be low/negligable.

If you're working out hard then you should be OK. Are you the BF% you want to be? After a weight training session a fair amount of your carbs will be used to restore glycogen, so you don't get fat even if you're not that active. However if you eat more than that then the usual rules apply, hence the question "is what you're doing working for you?".
If you do have too much fat and you're trying to shift it you could try putting glucose in your protein shake, and getting rid of some of the brown bread from your tuna sandwich.
    & go to bed earlier!

    ...and tidy your room

    ...and cut the grass.

I dont eat my dinner until 9:00 on evenings I attend the gym. Dinner is usually meat and veg. Would be in bed at 11:30. It is not possible for me to eat dinner any earlier on days I attend the gym because of work and commuting.

I was asking the instructor in the gym about this and he said that I should not be doing this. Hesaid I should try eat my dinner before the gym because 9 was too late. This is not possible for me. What do you think?
