    Lads,

Was playing soccer there a few weeks ago, when I kicked the ball out of my hands something pulled in my right leg, behind my knee to the left of the back of the knee.

If you feel this area as I said at the back of the knee to the left, it feels like a solid "rod" if that makes sense, it is painful the odd time, but if I kick a ball hard it "snaps" again.
any ideas if I should go to a doc or a physio, or should I just rest it?

    thanks

id say its ure hamstring...your hamstring goes from the top of you tighs right down to ure knee...wouldnt think it is a knee injury since u were kicking the ball...and when u kick it again it pulls again...Rest is all i can suggest

Your right on that one Waterboy, I went to Physio there on Tuesday night and he worked totally on my hamstrings, reckon they were mad tight, to be honest I thought my knee would fall off yesterday afterwards but today it is a good bit better.
Have to ice it every hour when I am at home. Very frustrating injury.

Watch that injury it tends to recur, so take your time getting back playing.

Improving your flexibility helps a lot

Thank Reyman, that is what he said alright, it seems that the musle around the knee is weak so that is why it is occuring and that I have fek all flexibility, down really to been overweight and lack of fitness. But back training tonite, very very light running though just to get my lungs opening!
