Fixing bent gate?

Any tips on fixing a bent gate?

Its a 1960's front gate from my semi-d, made of Iron I presume.

Most of the dinges in it I have whacked out with a metal lump hammer but the edge of the gate where the bolt goes down is really bent in at the middle.

What temperature would it be likely I need to get the iron to, to make it easier to bend? i.e. thinking of using a blowtorch on it.

Also, aside from physical sweat and a wire brush, any recommendations on a brush-on chemical to help peel away layers of old paint?

    Cheers

    Redman
