Good (big) road runners

My asics suffered a tear yesterday (and they smell really bad) so I have to get a new pair. The problem is I am a size 13 - 14 which no one seems to do. I remember getting the last pair by fluke. I will be doing alot of road running with them but I was hoping not to pay more than eighty for a pair.
    Can anyone advise?

Dont know where you will find size 13-14 but if you are serious about road running you should invest the extra cash to get the best runners you can.
It is well worth spending extra.

Arnotts and a good pair of Brooks runners - very very underrated and excellent cheeper shoes

Try Cripps Footwear in Terenure. I used to work there and they always stocked up on big sizes..

Give them a ring and check it out..

Thanks for your help. I decided to spend the extra and have ordered in a pair of €140 Asics. Will try them on before buying but they seem to be a good road runner.

I'm guessing that they are Keyano ?
Personally, of the runners I've tried (adidas, nike, new balance ) they are by far my favourite. Before anyone has a go I'd qualify that by saying the runners you choose should depend on your running gait, the mileage you will be putting in and the terrain you will be running on.

It might seem like a lot of money but the reality is that lots of runners pick up injuries because they let their runners get too worn down or they pick a pair that are really not suited to their running style.

Believe me if you pick up an injury like that before a race you will be pissed. All of a sudden money will stop being an issue and you'd pay anything to be able to race at full fitness.

Yeah I will be doing alot of road running so I am probably better off investing in a pair like that. Cheers.
