It may not be a question of the Greens alone accepting Nuclear Energy - Bertie has come out and said he reckons Nuclear isn't an option for Ireland.http://www.breakingnews.ie/2006/04/27/story256108.html

Interesting to read, didn't expect FF to come out as anti Nuclear. Though the cynic might say it is just an opportunistic sound byte as negative feeling about Chernobyl and Nuclear is so much in the news right now.

    WOW !
maybe FF are thinking beyond the next election for once ?

Any bad feeling about nuclear would come back to haunt them time and time again.

    By the way.
In the 50's up to 10% of the electricity generated in the USA was used in the gaseous diffusion enrichment of uranium. In the UK there is a non-fossil fuel levey on electricity, most of this goes to subsidise the cleanup and operation of Nuclear plants.

Nuclear power is Safe, Economic, and there are solutions to storing the waste long term. Pick at most two options.
