    Hello everyone,
    I play Gaa and Rugby on the wing with Teams in the Midlands. I have recently moved to Dublin and joined a Gym here. I have started training in the gym two - three times a week with usually two games at home at the weekend. My workout usually includes a 15 minute run warmup and then a 10 minute run at maximum inclination. Then a round of weights, some boxing etc.
    My problem is i dont see the results when i go on the pitch, i dont feel fitter, faster, stronger. What am i doing wrong? Should i join a team in Dublin to go training with. Or what circuit and course should i try in the gym to improve my speed, fitness and sharpness for the Gaa and Rugby team.

    Your work in the gym needs to be backed up by what happens outside of it. Athletes at high levels go through very strict training but this is also in tune with diet, rest etc.

    As such, the work your are doing in the gym may be top notch, but if your diet, rest and sleep are letting you down then that could be an issue.

    Also you may be over or under training.

    I would suggest you post your workouts in detail and your diet in detail. This way we will be better able to help.

    not an easy question to answer at all. match specific speed/power/strength/stamina is very hard earned. try reading everything you can on charliefrancis.com/community
