5km race in Miami

Was in Miami with my stunning girlfriend last week and we had a great time in South beach, plenty of sun, beach, fab food, shared moments and oh yes lots of training.

Was in Crunch gym every day (no relation to crunch fitness here i can tell you). Anyone who has been to america will tell you that the gyms brilliant over there and very much more focused on weights than cardio. In south beach they are very body conscious and really spend ages in the gym (too long in my opinion) but there were lots in great shape to inspire you.

Even got to run a 5km race on my last day there www.oceandriverun.com
Have a look at the photos of my knachered self finishing in 18.45mins which placed me 10th out of about 1000 entrants. My number was 803 and yes it was very hot -over 25degrees at 9am in the morning.

So in relation to the pic of yourself post thats me done (not afraid to hide my face and walk my talk) and if you want a sun break i would certainly recommend Miami South Beach.

All the best and keep up the training to all those doing the BUPA 10km and those just looking to stay in shape

Well judging by the sweat on this guy compared to tohers it suggests that he is not used to teh heat. As such it could be him!

Nah, i've only really started paying the kind of attention to proper running that it deserves over the last month or two, so i'm no where near even a 10K at this point in time!

All in all though, i have found that cardio, while something i used to hate the thought off, has really snuck it's way into my heart very easily! All in all, i'd love to do a 10K run next year, maybe a full marathon within 2 years!!

I'm not exactly built for running, and i'm not exactly graceful, but that just makes me want to do it more!
