Fitness Bands

    Are these any good?

I have a lot of exercise instructions that use these by wedging them in doors etc & pulling against the force.

I'm a beginner so I know that these bands come in different strengths of resistance.

Is the very light one a waste of time, should I get the normal or strong one.

Also, they seem to differ in style (See pics)
For Band 2 you'd also have to buy handles. Which of these are best, is there any difference & are they worth buying at all?

    Thanks.

Depends on what they're used for mainly they're used for rehab purpose if you've an injury but somehow they been subverted by the functional fitness crew. They're not that effective and you can do better exercises with out equipment.

Totally disagree - i have trained top level athletes with them and believe me they come in ALL strengths!!

Get them in physioneeds in Irishtown or from fit-pro in england, Go for the athlete level strengths and buy them with handles as they are easier to use,

I will have a site finished soon with pictures of clients working out with bands etc so mail me personally if you want further reassurance on this.

They take up hardly any space and are so versatile - whats not to like about them? Yes thay are limited at times e.g. leg work but for most it will give an excellent workout

Agree with T they're quite useful as an accessory. Very good if you're travelling.

I use bands (band 2) for training shoulder rotators and find them very good.
You need the high resistance ones, the others are useless
