Firstly i just want to say that i know banana's are quite good for you in general but:

how good are you when you are tryin to bulk up and play football and

Is there a limit to how many you can eat a day? at the moment i eat 4-6

NB: i only need advice on the bananas!

ok... bananas... here's what they got...

a medium (117g, 7'-7.5') fruit is made up of about 93% carbs, 3% fats, 4% protein. So great for energy. Not so great for bulking as most of the calories (all 105 of them :p ) come from sugars. So brilliant for a quick release post-workout energy source, but for bulking you should look elsewhere.

As for a limit.. well 5-6 seems a little excessive, but that can be applied to eating a huge amount of any food. As I said, they're high in sugar (albeit natural) so maybe find another source for your needs to use as well as bananas.

I've heard one a day is the max you should be consuming....

well i eat quite a lot and they would be only snacks to keep me from getting too hungry between meals.

and im not eating them to bulk up as i eat lots of protein too but as a healthy snack and for energy so wat do you tink?

afaik any scaremongering about overdosing on bananas is to do with the notion that you could ingest too much potassium from eating lots of 'nanas. But potassium can't be stored in the body, it just gets excreted so its not really an issue. thats only afaik of course :o

what about nuts? looooaaads of energy- almonds, cashews, brazil nuts (all non-salted of course). And if you want to fill up how about vegetable soup?

Ok I probably just bought into the scaremongering on potassium...

Although am I alone or does anyone else get a little bit light-headed when eating a banana sometimes?

g'em - like you're new sig, pretty funny this Team Test stuff

well maybe try eating plain vegetables, or find a low sugar, low carb, low-fat, high protein snack- maybe some whey and milk or yoghurt? make a smoothie... but I really would watch the numbers of 'nanas you eat, 5-6 is a lot!

    never heard of that before...

its a pretty blatant example of what too much time on your hands results in. Or at least spending too much time on boards when you should be working :o . I'm undecided as to whether it seems sincere, a bit of a larff or just downright idiotic. Pfft, having said that if anyone take these things too seriously they probably neeed to get off their bum and go for a walk in the real world ;) . But in fairness, Team Test is Emmet's brainchild. I just stole the idea and took it over... pretty much doing what women do best tbh.

If you bite off little mouthfuls at a time you can still breath while you're eating it...
