I saw this game on another wrestling forum and I figured it would be fun to try it here. It's pretty simple really, basically you just give two options, the next poster picks one and BRIEFLY explains why he/she made that choice, then he/she gives two more options. An example:

First poster: Marty Jannetty or Jeff Hardy?

Next poster: Jannetty because [insert reason here], and not Jeff because [insert reason here]. Wrestlemania or Summerslam?

    And so on.

    I'll get things going:

    D-X or the NWO?

D-X; a young hbk n hhh, great entertainment, so in ur face. maybe not hhh but he was michaels' wing man so he got by ok. i didnt really follow all the different nwo factions wolfpack n all this stuff... ddefo dx

Rock or Austin [bit obvious eh?]

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,479 ✭✭✭Stalfos

Austin because " thats the bottom line cause stone cold said so" and who doesn't want to drink at work and stunner their boss. Not The Rock because although he has all the charisma in the world, compared to Stone Cold, he's a tool.

    New Age Outlaws or L.O.D?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

L.O.D. as they were a legendary tag team whereas Gunn and Road Dogg were more of a great gimmick than a great tag team in my view.

    Goldberg or Ultimate Warrior?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,034 ✭✭✭Devon

Ultimate Warrior because he's the more insane of the 2.

    Bret Hart or Kurt Angle?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 28,128 ✭✭✭✭Mossy Monk

Kurt Angle as he is the best wrestler i have seen for a long long time

    Mankind or Dude Love?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,815 ✭✭✭Charlie

Mankind, because of the great promos, insane bumps and because the moment that he won the belt for the 1st time he caused Tony Schiavone to look like a douche. Not Dude Love cause he was insanely annoying and all he did was wobble his knees with his hands.

The Attitude era or the Hogan era?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

The Attitude era as it made the wrestlers more interesting whereas in the Hogan era they were two dimensional.

JR & King or Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,045 ✭✭✭Vince135792003

Bobby and Gorilla, I think they had just a tiny bit more chemistry than JR and the King.

Eugene or George the Animal Steele?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,426 ✭✭✭Roar

Eugene, as i still have absolutely no idea how the wwe got away with that character. that and he makes me laugh.

    Stacey or Trish?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,081 ✭✭✭✭chopperbyrne

    Stacy. I'm a leg man.

Andre The Giant or The Big Show?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 453 ✭✭irishcrazyhorse

BiG Show-has spent more time improving himself as an allround wrestler and has helped put over many a superstar.
Andre the Giant-is a legend but really had no idea what he was doing in the ring if you look back at him,he was "just" a giant...

    A.J Styles or Shawn Michaels>?

Shawn Michaels. A carreer with consistantly great matches over 3 decades.

Dymanite Kid or Davey Boy Smith

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Davey Boy as he achieved more fame than Dynamite did and he had one of the greatest matches of all time with Bret Hart at Summerslam '92 for the IC belt.

    Chyna or Trish Stratus?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 362 ✭✭riddik

trish!!!! Chyna has a dick! I saw her ...ugh... 'porn' video

    batista or lesnar

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17 ONI

trish she is a constant improver and looks amazing to booth

    jody feisch or johnny storm

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,069 ✭✭✭triple h

just when i wanted to join i get stuck with jody feisch and johnny strom. who are these losers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 453 ✭✭irishcrazyhorse

They are 2 of the best european performers hands down!

and if you looked up,you could of picked between lesnar or batista

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17 ONI

possibly the top two british high flyers both wrestled with irish companys real wrestling fans know who they are

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,069 ✭✭✭triple h

    oh, i see one
batista = the game showed him all he knows, thats why he is good
lesnar= he is not as good as batista.

    edge or christan

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 637 ✭✭✭TOPDAWG

christian. never liked edge and found him boring in the ring, still do actually. bit annoyed at wwe not capitalising on christians obvious popularity.

    Austin vs Rock at wm17
    or
Austin vs Rock at wm 15

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Austin vs Rock at WM17. I thought that was one of the biggest and best main events ever. The two top faces squaring off only for Austin to turn heel with his arch nemesis. Great stuff.

    WCW or ECW?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,150 ✭✭✭Johnmb

    WCW or ECW?
WCW. That forced the WWF to up its performance. The ECW was just a spot fest, and never really treatened the WWF.

    wrestling matches, or backstage segments?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 362 ✭✭riddik

depends on the performer, give a guy like the rock a backstage segment he gave u gold every time, but i suppose they cant all be rock's and some promos can be very piss poor so matches.

amatuer wrestling style matches or matches geared more to the entertainment style, i.e. a kurt angle match, or an austin or rock match

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 637 ✭✭✭TOPDAWG

Austin/rock type match for the sheer electricity and emotion that it generates (going on an actual austin/rock match here)

    Royal rumble match
    or
    Survivor series match?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Royal Rumble match as it's just a brilliant and simple concept and it's the beginning of the road to Wrestlemania.

Babyface Hulk Hogan or the nWo Hogan?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,815 ✭✭✭Charlie

nWo Hogan, as it is proven that wretlers are always more enjoyable when their character is close to home, i.e Stone Cold, HBK(during the 90's).

DX led by HBK or, DX led by HHH.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,594 ✭✭✭Fozzy

DX led by HBK. It was the beginning of them, and it set them up to continue once HHH was the main guy. They really set the marker at the start with some of the stuff they did, I think. Great times

Seeing as it wasn't answered earlier, Jody Fleisch or Jonny Storm?

jody, purely for his innovation in the ring. that ddt is something else

    benoit or guerrero

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,457 ✭✭✭Cactus Col

oooooooh .... Guerrero, equally great, but Guerrero as a face, had a bit more personality, put a bit of comedy cheating into his matches, which made every match entertaining.

    Bobby Lashley or Fit Finlay?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 17 ONI

Finaly expirienced and a true tough sob

    paul london or super crazy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Super Crazy. He's probably the most underrated wrestler in the WWE.

    Mankind or Cactus Jack?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,792 ✭✭✭J.R.HARTLEY

mankind again, the majority of foleys work in the wwe was makind, so therefore he did more good work as mankind, (percentage wise they both score highly it's simply quantity that i'm going with)

Mcmahon Helmsley Era (corportae D-X) or Evolution

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,069 ✭✭✭triple h

mc mahon helmsley era for sure. i found batista boring at first, in fact i did not like batista until eddie and him joined together at smack down.
    melina or stacy

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,081 ✭✭✭✭chopperbyrne

    Melina. She is ultra sexy.

    Tito Santana or Ricky Steamboat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Steamboat for his classics with Flair and Savage.

Mr Perfect Curt Hennig or Ravishing Rick Rude?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,815 ✭✭✭Charlie

Rude. he played the role of the heel perfectly. While henning was a superior wrestler, I just remember despising rude when I saw him, and in my books that a job well if you're a heel. I loved it when he tried it on with Jake The Snakes real life wife.

Austin as a comedian, e.g. the cowboy hats with Vince and Angle
    or
Austin as the toughtest S.O.B, e.g. stunners all round for the Nation of Dominiation on his pickup truck?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,045 ✭✭✭Vince135792003

Business wise it was Austin as the badass all the way. But I loved his skits with Angle and Vince so I'll go with that even though I know I should n't !

    JBL or Ted DiBiasie

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,479 ✭✭✭Stalfos

Ted DiBiasie cause i hated him more than JBL. (probably because of Cena though).

    Raw or Smackdown

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,034 ✭✭✭Devon

RAW - Because it's a far superior show.

    Tazz or Cole?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

    Definitely Tazz. He's improved alot.

    Joey Styles or Coach?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,457 ✭✭✭Cactus Col

    Devon wrote:

No way has that been true so far this year.

Coach, I like Styles, but Coach is a good, funny heel commentator.

    Billy or Chuck.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,034 ✭✭✭Devon

Chuck because he pulled off whatever gimmick he was given no matter how crappy it was, and he did it damn well.

Davey Boy Smith or Dynamite Kid?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,594 ✭✭✭Fozzy

Dynamite Kid. One of the most technically sound wrestlers ever. His matches in Japan are pure class

    Ultimate Warrior or Goldberg? :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,034 ✭✭✭Devon

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,594 ✭✭✭Fozzy

    Oops..

    Brian Pillman or Owen Hart?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,640 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Owen for his great feud with Bret and his great match at Wrestlemania.

    Batista or Randy Orton?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 637 ✭✭✭TOPDAWG

Havent the slightest clue how to post a link but DEVON:

    (cough)
Dymanite Kid or Davey Boy Smith

    (cough)

Sorry bud couldnt resist, saw it earlier and was just too lazy to say anything. ha ha.

Id go for Owen Hart for the simple fact i saw much more of Owen than i did of Pillman, which is to take nothing away from either man cos what ive seen of both men was entertaining stuff.

If in a real life fight would you rather hit
    a)the worm
    or
    b)the peoples elbow?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,594 ✭✭✭Fozzy

Haha, definitely the People's Elbow! Bouncing off the imaginary ropes, then stoppin to do the eyebrow. It'd be so humiliating. Plus, I doubt I'd be able to do the Worm..

    Jeff Jarrett or JBL?
