Does anyone have any suggestion's, Normally I have my lunch between 3:00 and 4:30 and then go to the gym at about 6:30.

At the moment I normally eat a bowel of pasta (with sauce), some white bread (normally a bap, or roll; no butter though) and some fruit.

Any suggestions of what would be better to eat??
It's more energy I'm thinking of as I take a protein shake after the workout.

well if you are serious bout it i wud get rid of the white bread for wholegrain brownbread and the pasta for wholegrain or brown rice maybe, or maybe a couple of brown bread sambos with chicken, onions, peppers, tomato and wat not. othe rthatn switching to wholegrain i dont think it makes much of a difference wat you eat before as long as its good food (IMO)

I don't know guys, OP, do you mean directly before going to the gym??? As in within an hour to 90 mins of starting your workout?

I have the same sort of question. I've started going to the gym in the morning before work. Monday, Wednesday and Friday I'm doing cardio and on Tuesday and Thursday I'm doing weights. I have porridge with yoghurt for breakfast - should I be having this before I go to the gym or first thing when I get to work? Should I be having anything else besides the porridge?

Its recommended that you get some carbs and protein before any workout, as its just as important as having it after, theres tons of sites about this on google
