I am going to start taiking supplements next week, I have looked into cyclone and it looks promising. I have taken creatine before and was satisfied. However I am contemplating taking creatine as I work out and cyclone post workout.

Has anyone done this or has anyone any advice on how I should be taking these in conjunction with eachother.

P.S....My diet is high protein, well balanced etc

Iv used Cyclone before and if I remember correctly, its basically a hybrid of Maximuscle's 'Pro-Gain' and creatine (it was 25 grams of protein, 25 of carbs and 5 of creatine?). I think you should just get protein and creatine, and creatine before and after workout and protein after a workout too and throughout the day. Also, Maximuscle stuff is seriously overpriced imo, Id go with a different brand.

Just take creatine immediately post-workout. There's a limit to how much creatine your body can store so anything above that will be wasted.

You'll save a small fortune too by ditching the Cyclone - get a decent brand of whey instead.

Okay , a few points i'm going to cover here. Maximuscle, first off, is overpriced and over marketed. Plain and simple.

Lets look at Cyclone, you get there "promax protein", wow, you get whey. You get Creapure TM creatine monohydrate, wow, i can get a kilo of that stuff from USN much cheaper, you get glutamine and you get HMB. And once again, HMB has been proven to do absolutely nothing.

Lets go on to creatine. You do not, i repeat, YOU DO NOT, need to take creatine before and after workouts. I really just is not necessary. when your muscles reach saturation thats it, there saturated and are not going to take in any more creatine. Take 5 grams of creatine, after your workout and only on workout days and you will be fine. This is really and truly all you need to do to see the full benefits of creatine.

For protein, stick to Nutrition X, Nutrisport or Optimum Nutrition Whey. Lots of options there to find a taste you like. For creatine, sime Creapure TM Creatine Monohydrate from any of the manufactures will do as they are just rebranding it anyway.

I suggest www.usnireland.ie to get your creatine. You can over a years supply of 5 grams a day for 150 quid. Not bad at all. Go halfs with a mate or something.

Cheers for the advice Dragan - but that's a dead link from here. Are they still in operation?
    Is it just http://www.fitnessireland.ie/product_info.php/products_id/48 x 3

Sorry about that, it's .com not .ie!!

    http://www.usnireland.com/

thats the stuff alright, but if you buy three through USN Ireland you can get a fourth free, this can be pretty handy if you know a few guys who might be interested in picking up some with you.

Be wary of 'cheap' creatine mixes as well.Holland and Berret in grafton street and that supplements store on the first floor of the stephens green centre have Creatine on special offer at the moment but a closer inpection reveals 79 grams of sugar per 100 gram serving. You might as well be eating boiled sweets after your workout. The brand name is "Body Fortress" or something..
