Superhuman Radio had an excellent discussion last weekend on both BCAA usage and creatine where Chuck Rudolph dispells the myths surrounding it's usage.

First 30mins is Layne Norton talking about optimal BCAA usage; second half is Chuck Rudolph discussing creatine and the difference between creatine mono and creatine ethyl ester.

That was very good. I think last week or the week before i was stamping on the load phase of creatine, nice to see a company happy to come out and say how much you actually need to take!!

Also very interested to here about the 21 day saturation! I only ever take creatine after training, never on non training days at all.

I was already aware of the study showing that once muscles reach saturation they remain for 21 days without further administration.. I was very suprised that Chuck offered that info so freely during the interview. It just goes to show that Scivation/Primaforce is one of the good guys in the supplement industry.

There's also an exciting show coming up on 3/18 - a Super Human Radio exclusive. An unknown botanical from Nigeria that elevates total T and free T levels on a dose dependant basis. The interview had to be pre-recorded so I already know the results and I can tell you its very exciting. In the study it elevated TT and FT 6 fold in rats.

If you get on the Super Human Radio mailing list you'll receive updates of upcoming shows and then you can lsuten to what you want when you want to. I'll also have podcast set up next week.... go to http://www.superhumanradio.com/

Interesting stuff, Layne is very active over on avantlabs - very knowledgeable guy and always worth listening to.

    Hey triceptor,

good to have you here and congrats on the show. Just to anyone who sees triceptor as a single-posting opportunistic show plugger - well he basically is :D but I've seen his posts on avantlabs and elsewhere and he's one of the good ones, plus it's a good show so sign up.

P.S. That Nigerian plant sounds interesting, any idea when we might start seeing human trials and mechanisms of action. Yakubu MT, Akanji MA, Oladiji AT seem to put it all down to increasing LH - that's alot of hornyness! I put myself forward for trials by the way, who wants to count my mount frequency? :D

While BCAAs are quite expensive to buy in the US, they're even more costly here to the extent that I find it cheaper to import them.

Xtend (from Scivation) and Ice (from Xtreme Formulations) are two of the better ones on the market - personally I use Xtend because of the additional citrulline malate. A tub is ~$50 and lasts me about 6 weeks using 36g five days a weeks.
