Is this pub any good for bands? I'm in a band and was gonna look about playing there, but if it's a dive I'd think twice obviously enough. Can someone tell me stuff about it. Cheers.

Used to be called The Northern Bar and there was the odd good band there. It was always a bit of a dive, though. Then it changed hands to Gildernews and from what I've heard, it has gone down-hill even more. Mind you, I haven't been to it since it changed so maybe other folk could enlighten you more.
